Breakfast is not a buffet, one just orders from the menu and a cup of coffee (your choice) is included, anything else is extra. Breakfast were ample and delicious.

If having dinner there later in the evening some of the staff failed to keep scanning the rooms (especially if one was sitting outside) and so this meant a longer wait for service than normal. On one evening, when sitting on the balcony, three members of staff "just forgot" us and we realised it would have been better for service to sit inside - not something we wished to do. Swimming pool entrance gate needs sorting with a better entry systemm say by using one's room key.

Great spacious rooms. Well equipped. Good Wifi. No problems with load shedding. Backs on site is very good for breakfast. Baggage service very quick and helpful.

Housekeeping doesn’t arrive until 2pm. No explanation of how to use PV facilities. Check in very ‘underwhelming’. Golf pro shop staff not particularly helpful/welcoming.

The Rooms and facilities are top notch as well as the food at both the on site restaurants. The golf course looked amazing and challenging. Will need to return to play a few rounds.

The only thing we didn't like about staying at the hotel is that you have to sign in every time at the main security gate. You then get a code to exit but on more than one occasion the code didn't work on exit and then we had to sign in again to get a new code to exit. This could be solved with giving a tag or a same code for for your stay to avoid signing in every time.

The facilities that are great is the pools for kids, course for adults. Lisa is incredible and such an asset to PVH. She always remembers us when we return and she is always welcoming and friendly. She definitely stands out in terms of customer service. In terms of the property, the pools are great, the property is well maintained and it’s very child friendly.

Some of the clubhouse staff is really great. The management team that was on duty on Saturday night was unfriendly and had a funny vibe. Wait staff great. The carpet in our room had a stain and there was dirt around the area where the plug goes in the tub. I also noticed that there aren’t extra waters placed in the rooms at turn down anymore, neither the choccies which the kids usually love. I also noticed that there is no longer hand soap in the clubhouse bathrooms so it seems that there might be some budget cuts all round.

Breakfast is good. People staying longer should have more options.

Some additions like toast and juice very expensive. Playing golf expensive. Not allowed to take none golfers with when playing golf. Lots of machines on the pathways, speed of these sometimes a safety risk. If door cards is not working at mantis then you have to go all the way back to the reception, especially at night with the family with you. Gate system not effective. Their are more effective apps or systems that will speed up the process when entering. Kitchen equipped with equipment that does not work.

The Property is very beautiful. The walk from the Restaurant to the hotels is lovely. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is very convenient when you have your own transportation as it is out of town however, the estate is very quiet which we liked.

The Kitchenette is a bit useless as there is not microwave to warm leftovers nor did the oven work. It didn't have any utensils/ pots to use on the stove. Overall, the stove was very useless, and we had to get our food warmed at Back's staff room.

The location is perfect, placed in the middle between Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, in one of the most prestigious estates in South Africa (Val de Vie). The mountain views are excellent. The rooms are massive with excellent (and large) bathroom facilities. The breakfast was delicious. We ordered the 'Rooster's Call' - Just the right amount of food, excellent sausage (obviously its South Africa!). Good value for money as well. We are not into golf, but I imagine if you were it would pretty much be your holiday paradise.

Didn't opt for breakfast, room was very comfortable, but Kitchenette was misleading as we brought own food due to a hectic diet fir health reasons do couldn't prepare.

Disappointed in staff, no service at Backs had to keep going to get service, no 1 mentioned the towel policy so had to walk back and forth to fetch, should have been told on route to big pool, not have to go back and staff wouldn't do it for us. Big pool dirty. Backs pool was excellent however. No ice tray in fridge so went to Backs for some only to be told you need to bring icebucjet from our room so had to go back. And I suppose biggest disappointment was couldn't even pay to use driving range, unless playing this stopped our spending in the pro shop.

Beautiful golf course in a most scenic area. The breakfast was excellent. Our room had a wonderful view of the golf course and mountains in the distance. The staff were very friendly in particular the breakfast and dinner waiting on staff.

We stopped three nights but couldn’t get into eat on the Sunday as busy with residents etc and luckily manage to buy to Pizzas to cook in our room but not ideal. When you arrive you should be asked table times to book. Or they should ask before you arrive preferred eating times.

Breakfast was served in the club house or adjacent cafe if you chose not to eat in. All facilities within a short walk and the grounds were superb. Dinner available also in the Club House and adjacent cafe. A very secure complex and all staff very friendly and helpful.

The only thing that could improve the experience would be if you could park your car a little nearer the room and not need a golf cart to move your luggage. That said would definitely return.
