I can not say enough amazing things about our stay. We decided to try check in early and called to see if that was possible! Ricky was so welcoming and inviting and was ready to accommodate us! It is a beautiful property located just outside of Simons town so it is nice and quiet. there is a great beach just across the road and you can walk for miles down the road watching the ocean. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. the room was comfortable and clean and was tidied everyday. We had a beautiful ocean view and if it were not for the baboons we would have slept with the windows open. Yes there are baboons who like to make themselves at home if you let them. They had solar so we were never without power during load shedding. We ended up getting manis and pedicures in the spa area. The treatments were wonderful and so were the technicians. The place is a true gem and I can’t wait to go back asap!! Ricky took care of our every need (including laundry and ordering our pizzas 😆). And I feel like we now have an amazing new friend for life! I will definitely choose this as my place to stay whenever I’m in Cape Town!! ❤️❤️Breakfast were yummy too!

Only couple negatives were that the drive and parking is tight. And the internet is not great. We were able to figure it out by just using one device on WiFi at a time but I also believe that this problem is being addressed and shouldn’t be a problem in the future. The positives far outweigh the negatives in this place.

Breakfast was delicious and served looking over the sea. Very relaxing. The location is perfect. Property overlooks a smaller less crowded beach. 40minute walk from the centre of Simon's town. Stunning views from bedrooms and communal areas. Safe and secure with electric gate and staff always present.

Some of the property could do with a deep clean. Blinds and cushions in bedroom stained. Due to location outside town more difficult to get an Uber from here. Having a car to stay at this property would be more beneficial.

Amazing View Owner very hands on accommodating and friendly Homely feel Beautiful Hotel Swimming Beach right over the Road

Literally No WiFi or connection in the area No food deliveries to the area except one suggested who we couldn't reach on the phone bearing in mind that the hotel does not serve lunch or dinner, so if you didn't have a car you were stuck to get anything to eat. Just a Little attention to detail needed, no bin in the bathroom and didn't receive coffee pods everyday.

Its a lovely guesthouse and well located right infront a beautiful beach, where you can take a nice Morning swim. The breakfast was very nice & the Roibos tea fantastic! Furthermore the employees are all very kind, helpful and doing an amazing job! A special thank you goes to Innocent, he did a lovely job and was always there to help such a nice, happy & honest person! I will definetly come back to this beautiful place again! Big thank you also goes to Elsa, who made my stay even more lovely.

Remarkable view of Cape Town and surrounding mountains. Great breakfast and comfortable and cozy common areas. Simon's Town and surrounding areas are beautiful and amazing to visit. Very kind host and comfortable and clean bed.

The parking is a bit challenging uphill, but you can park just fine by the hotel on public parking spaces. Also the white lights used in the room we stayed at was a bit too bright for our preference. Feedback for the host is to replace the blue-lights with some warmer incandescent/incandescent-like light bulbs.

The Breakfast were deliciously oustanding. Tranquil area with beautiful music. My room were cosy spacious, I felt at home and slept and rested well. I had the best of views from my room. The Hostess/ Owner is an amazing woman. She's caring, warm just so lovely, very professional and so is her staff.. Unfortunately, my time were too short and I am definitely going back there for a longer time.

Its a Perfect place!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Whale View Manor and Spa. The rooms are confortable, the ocean view, the breakfast,… and everybody is so helpful and nice. The guesthouse is really a great place to stay, it’s quiet and you sleep hearing the ocean waves.

The parking is small, you need a small car !

The best views in Simonstown! A wonderful characterful place with wonderful helpful and attentive hosts and excellent service from start to finish. The breakfast was 5 star too. If you don´t see the whales from here it´s because they just aren´t there that day as you can see such a spectacular expanse of sea from the sea-side windows as well as the lounge and breakfast room. The treatments at the in-house spa were amazing and highly recommended.

A few fixtures and fittings were a bit wobbly and a heater in one room was broken but they provided an extra portable one for us. The beds also have electric blankets which were heavenly so nobody got cold despite the winter weather. The host tells me that renovations and a bit of a "fix up"are due very soon on the upstairs rooms so I´m sure these will not continue to be a problem and they did not detract from our enjoyment of the stay.

The view is stunning! Comfortable, clean and very friendly service. We will definitely stay here again.

The partitions on the balconies between rooms should maybe offer a bit more privacy for guests to sit outside their room and enjoy the view without feeling their privacy being intruded on from neighbouring guests. Also, we had to take off the lid of our toilet to flush as the flush button didn't work. This still didn't spoil our visit though.

What a beautiful well maintained Guesthouse at the southern end of Simons Town not too far from the penguins. Bed is very comfortable, room is clean and quiet, views of the sea are amazing, and at the back of the building there's a lovely garden with a great mountain view. The very friendly owner Elsa creates a good atmosphere where everyone can feel welcome and the huge communal areas of this place add to that. Plus it's one of the few places in the Cape region where the single occupancy rate is significantly cheaper than the double rate.

There are places with better Wifi (to put it mildly).
