Great hotel. I stay here everytime I come TDY. Short walk to the gate. Every type of food imaginable in the ville. Wha-wha on the corner. CU on the corner to get snacks and meals to keep in the room. When it's nice I like to walk farther into Pyeongtaek and pick a random place to eat. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. Right next to the fried chicken stand in the 3/8 market.

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed for a short stay. It is a perfect location, right near the walking gate so great if you're visiting people on base.

When I checked in they did inform me that the temperature of the room could not be adjusted so I was prepared for the room to be warm and it was during the night. They did supply the AC remote but I just opened the windows and it was fine.

The suite was very clean and very tidy. The bedroom was immaculate and set up very well. The bathroom was clean and very organized. We have stayed at Hotel Joy previously and came back because of how nice the place is and how friendly the staff is.

There was nothing to dislike. Hotel Joy is the perfect place for us to stay. We will always stay at Hotel Joy when we visit the area. The staff is very friendly and that is what makes is so special.

No breakfast. I was gone before sun up. Would not have been able to partake even if provided. Great location to base. Checked all the boxes to go there for any future trips. They accepted my luggage while I was at work, after being delayed the days. They also let me borrow a plug in adapter since mine was in my suitcase.

For nine days of work... There was nothing I did not like.

The staff was very friendly and the room was tidied nicely each day. The location is excellent! You are a short walk away from a bus stop, which takes you to Pyeongtaek station in about 20 minutes. There are great little shops and marts within walking distance. Best meal is Hwa Hwa and the best coffee was The Cottage (also notable there is a barista who speaks English and is amazingly helpful with local suggestions and travel ideas). We will definitely stay here again when we visit.

The location was excellent, everything I needed was a few blocks away. Although the room might be smaller than Americans are used to, it is comfortable, clean, and has a conveinient kitchenette to save money on dining out. I enjoyed it and would use Hotel Joy again.

The television was a bit difficult to figure out.

Very clean and well maintained, free water in fridge (plus coffee, etc.). Easy walk to shops/ restaurants/ donut shop. Quiet, even with other guests next door. Staff is fantastically friendly.

Bed a little hard, but not uncomfortable. Bathroom sparse by western standards.

The room was great for an extended stay. Large fridge/freezer combo with a microwave. AC worked excellent, which is very much needed during the monsoon season. Closet space was no issue, and the shower had great water pressure. Short walk to USAG Humphreys via the pedestrian gate. The owners are extremely kind and accommodating. Short walk to plenty of shops, food and bars. It's about the best you're going to find that isn't a name-brand hotel.

Friendly staff, they provided free water bottles and a soda. Big size fridge and kitchenette. Very clean. They have parking space and it's free.

Narrow streets to get to hotel, but doable.

Stayed 5 days with family and our cat. The owner was very accommodating and enthusiastic to help with all our needs. The location was perfect. We could walk everywhere, yet on the 8th floor, we weren't bothered by any street noise. Kitchen! A full size refrigerator and kitchen was awesome! We saved lots of money by not eating out every meal. The enclosed patio was nice. Our cat could have her own place to hang out without us being worried about my son falling.
