We just completed a 17 trip across Portugal, Spain and southern France. Posada Cicero was our absolute favorite place to stay. The location was just off the highway. The host was very congenial, informative and language was not a problem at all. Breakfast was served in a lovely garden (mid-September). The fruit was fresh, the pastries were still warm from the oven and very delicious. He offered a variety of juices and other drinks. Service was prompt and attentive to all our needs. The rooms were homey and comfortable. Parking was free and plentiful.

We travelled with a 97 year old with some mobility issues. It would have been helpful to know ahead of time that there was no elevator available. The stairs had hearty handrails, so he was able to manage the one flight to his room. The rooms are not sound proofed, so we could hear a little noise from nearby rooms, such as a small child and another alarm clock, but it was a minor thing and did not disturb our sleep or our stay.

The owner was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the region and accomodating. He sent us suggestions of where we can eat and what we can do. The breakfast was delicious and varied from the different days that we were there. The room was comfy and nice. Although it was not located in the middle of the city, we really liked that it was easily accessible to all the nearby towns. If you are not a sensitive sleeper, I would HIGHLY recommend this place.

Unfortunately the house is beside a main road with quite some traffic. We stayed in a room where the window was facing the road and while it was noisy during the day (something that cannot be helped), it was quite quiet during the night. This would not deter us from returning though! But it is good for someone who is sensitive to noise that this might be something to consider.

Very friendly owner, very helpfull too, loads of tips about restaurants and thing to see! Good breakfast! And A very nice room with a good bed. We reccomend this hotel 👍👍👍

Little noisy from the road next to it and A fan instead of an airco, but the fan was worth it’s money.

Sergio is a great host - very friendly and helpful. Our room (at the back) was peaceful and comfortable although I guess if you're a light sleeper a room at the front might be noisy as it's right next to a busy road. Simple but sufficient breakfast.

The posada has been beautifully restored and provides a good level of comfort. Sergio is a super host who goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome. He can direct you to good eating establishments and advise on paths for walks. Breakfast in the garden was great!
