Beautiful building with many original features. Fantastic location, backing right onto the Collegiate of San Bartolomé, a 15th-century church. If you walk 2 mins round to the back of the church, you get a great view of the castle. Rooms are simple, yet stylish and comfortable. During unusually cold weather, the room was warm, and beds really comfortable. Underground car park accessed via room key fob. Friendly and helpful staff. Owner speaks very good English, which was helpful when my pocito Spanish failed. Very good restaurant, reasonably priced with varied menu, from beautifully presented local produce to a cheeseburger that my 10 year-old declared a 10/10. Just wish we could have stayed longer. This was a pit-stop for us during a long drive, but it's a little gem of a town, steeped in history.

My only negative was that there is no kettle in the room, although I understand that this is common in Spain. My family doesn't like me before I've had a coffee in the morning! The manager was very accommodating and offered to provide hot water for my cafetiere, but we had to leave before the restaurant opened in the morning.

Really interesting very old building, said to be a Palace once. Friendly staff including at least one with good English. Excellent secure parking under the building at street level. Very welcoming warm restaurant with good food, service and good value. We used this as a one-night stopover en route but probably the old town is worth exploring. Large room with sofa seating.

Typical Spanish old world charm hotel, clean and comfortable spacious rooms, we especially liked the free underground parking which was ideal due to the narrow cobbled streets and security for our Motorbike. A special mention for Antonio at reception who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable and keen to practise his English.

Great location almost all in walking distance. Room clean and spacious. Staff helpful and friendly.

The jacuzzi was partly ‘broken’, one half didn’t ‘bubble’ and the left headrest fell off (was broken before, not repaired) When ordering tea, they should NOT serve it in tiny coffee cups, only half filled with water. Lifting out the teabag, hardly any liquid is left🤣

We liked the beautiful building and interior, the staff and the location. It has stairs and an elevator. Breakfast was provided and good.

We were in the spa suite and the air conditioning and fridge didn’t work properly. Also a light out in bathroom. We were only there one night so didn’t so didn’t raise the issue.

Easy to drive to - you can pull up outside to unload. Free, secure, underground parking. Fridge in room. Nice summer terrace where you can get food and drinks (closed Mondays). Excellent breakfast - small selection of high quality ingredients: freshly-squeezed orange juice, bread warm from the baker's, şuperior oils. It's a lovely little town with a castle and 4 molinos de viento.

Just a note - this is hospedería not a hotel so no 24-hr reception. This was not a problem for me. I didn't like the shower curtain and unironed bed linen.

This is a great Hotel with helpful staff. The place was the HQ of the local Guardia Civil for over 100 years and some of the features reflect this in a very good way. There is a castle close by which is well worth a visit and was a bit of a surprise to us. We had underground secure parking . Our room had a view of the castle . Siesta time and the whole town sleeps and it is a quiet sleepy town. Well worth a visit.

The restaurant menu could do with an update.

Palacio Buenavista is a beautifully restored hotel,with plenty of character,located in a lovely historic town. The staff were friendly and efficient, the rooms very clean and functional, and the buffet breakfast excellent.

such a beautiful building in a lovely village location and with parking! The very traditional room was comfy and we were able to have our dog accompany us. Great, too, that there’s a good restaurant on site…we stopped in a 4* the following night which wasn’t half as good as this hotel. Will look forward to another visit!

Gorgeous hotel and location. Castilla-La Mancha is a beautiful region of Spain and Belmonte is a diamond. Walk up to the castle, take in the incredible view and back down to the tapas bars for the evening.
