Hotel Miramar

I had read VERY mixed reviews of this hotel with some scathing comments. I was anticipating low standards and the need for some complaints. I was amazed at how good the room was. This is a low budget hotel that clearly does few frills but the room and bathroom were very clean. The room was serviced daily, the bed made and towels changed three times in our four day stay. We were on the third floor and street noise was minimal. Others had complained about hot rooms, dirty bathrooms, excessive noise etc. NONE OF THIS happened to us.

Hardly anything. A few more hangers in the wardrobe maybe? Perhaps a kettle in the room? A second bedside cabinet so there was one on each side of the bed? A slightly longer shower curtain? Really nothing to get het up about. There was a hairdryer which was not in the specs. It's a basic hotel. It suited our purposes.

Great location, we would have never found it with the help of booking.com!!! Staff very friendly. Nothing special about the hotel but for last minute stay over, it's great. Right next to main street of la linea with bars and restaurants and 5 minutes walk from Gibraltar. We'll go back there for sure as the price is brilliant. They deserve 2 stars and not just one. Toilet to close to shower bath but really didn't matter. All good!!!!

This hotel is in the heart of La Linea. It is clean, staff are lovely, 24 hour reception, if u r going to shop, visit family, see the sights it is perfect. We r only in the hotel to sleep, we r out and about every day visiting friends. It is a basic hotel but it suits our needs. We had our 13 year old grand daughter with us. And had a ball. Location, amazing. I will def use again

I love La Linea and every thing Spanish. There is nothing I can think of not to like.

Great location for a short visit to Gibraltar without having to pay expensive Gibraltar hotel price. Cheap places to eat within 5mins walk. Also 24 hrs reception service makes it vonvenient to check out early in the morning. Bed was comfortable. Furniture is a bit dated but still clean. All reflected by the price you pay for the hotel. Good value for money for one night.

Lift stops in between floors. No matter which floor the lift stops, still have to climb some stairs.

We liked the location. It is located very close to the bus station and close to the entry into Gibraltar. We did a few day trips into Gibraltar and having a location this close made day trips very easy. Also there are many restaurants and cafes in the area. Oscar, the desk person at the Hotel Miramar, was very helpful. He suggested a wonderful fish restaurant that we would never have found on our own.

For a 1 Star hotel, the Miramar was exceptional. The room was spotlessly clean, the shower was piping hot, the WiFi was strong and the location was ideal, just 10 minutes from Gibraltar. Plenty of places to eat or grab a coffee nearby. Staff were brilliantly friendly, allowing for slightly later checkout at no extra cost and also printing off my passenger locator form. Brilliant value for money.

Street outside was a little noisy but no fault of the hotel.

Wonderful location and 24/7 reception. You can walk to the bus station, the beach or the border with Gibraltar, which can be really convenient, especially when you travel with a child.

Maybe the bathroom can be a bit improved but still - we had a great stay. Thanks!

Stayed for five nights as an alternative to paying very for expensive accommodation in Gibraltar, Very pleasant staff. Room was very clean. Loads of restaurants nearby. Only a 5-7 minute walk to Gibraltar Airport A win win

No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms

Definitely the perfect place if you just need a bed for a trip to Spain/Gibraltar. Room was clean, quite big.

Dated room, small TV, not enough plug socket, definitely bring an extension.

The location was very good. Few minutes to the square with restaurants and cafes. Opposite a lovely park with peacocks. Ten minutes from the border, walkable. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Can't think of anything we did not like.
