Lovely spacious room with sea views lots of storage .Nice pool area.Room was kept beautifully clean. Brilliant location close to everything.

£12 per night to park was very expensive and not really flagged up prior to arrival. Buffet was ok but the food was cold .Dining room had no atmosphere or character no candles,pictures or subdued lighting .Bar had lovely lamps but also very bright lights which were not needed. Could do with upgrading lifts .

Great seafront property located midway on the paseo maritimo. Large and comfortable room and balcony with outstanding views of the Mediterranean and the city. Great location only few minutes walk from the old town. Well designed bathroom with ample space. Practical wardrobe space. Nice buffet breakfast with ample selection. Large, secured parking space at Euro 12 per day.

The air conditioning in the room was inefficient and did not cool sufficiently. The 2 small elevators looked in need of upgrading. The front desk employees, although friendly, did not have much knowledge of the area.

The staff were great! And the beds were comfortable and showers were very nice. It's a good location for going to lots of different places. The staff are definitely the best part. Very hardworking and approachable.

The pool closed at 6 pm (this vould have been as it was low season). The aircon is either heat or cool for the whole hotel, so we were unable to put the cool on, and our room was sitting at 26 degrees most nights. We didn't get our sheets changed even though we were there for 7 nights.

Very spacious room with comfortable beds, a nice modern bathroom and a balcony overlooking the sea. The pool is a great size and there are plenty of sunbeds and chairs. Fantastic location on the seafront, a short walk from both the old town and Riells. The breakfast buffet was plentiful, even though it was more about quantity than quality.

Personally I would have been happy with less variety but higher quality produce at breakfast (plasticky cheese, generic sticky pastries, watery machine coffee...) It was fine to fill up on, but after the first day I skipped it and went out for breakfast instead.

The location is absolutely perfect, next to the sea wall for the harbour in a quiet area and only a 5 minute stroll into the “old town” where the restaurants and bars are situated. Nice big CLEAN pool, terrific complimentary breakfast and updated rooms all indicate a direction by ownership to provide exceptional value to their guests. More hotels should include a complimentary breakfast like they do in other countries as it sets up guests for the day of travel. Well done RVHotels. My wife and I stay in 60 -70 hotels a year and have become good judges of hotel character!

Leaving

The location of the hotel was fantastic. Views from the hotel are right over the sea, just lovely. The staff are a credit to the hotel they were all really nice and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. Wi-Fi is good in all areas. There are also plenty of sockets in the room as well as USB sockets.

Unfortunately the food lets the hotel down, there is plenty of choice but it was repetitive and very lukewarm. We booked half board. There wasn’t any entertainment but that didn’t bother us as we like the quietness. The cleaning needs stepping up a little, it wouldn’t take much more more effort.

Good hotel, on the sea front, with it's own pool. Facilities were good, room was spacious with safe, hairdryer, TV, balcony and aircon. (For Brits, there is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room). Breakfast was superb but can be busy, and the queue for coffee can be long! It's a 10 minute walk into the main town for restaurants, and a much longer walk to the other end of the beach where there are restaurants and bars along the beach. There are cycle lanes along the sea front and space to lock your bikes at the hotel. The staff were excellent! We had to leave a few days early due to unforeseen circumstances, and the hotel were very accommodating and understanding. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and I requested bubbles and petals (small charge), which was delivered as requested and set up lovely.

The coffee machine takes ages and there is always a queue. Parking is at an additional charge even though attached to the property. A couple of days we were missing a towel. Not major, just a niggle. No face flannels (again not major).

Location on boulevard , beds were exquisite, balcony was large , view towards town and sea.Staff worked very hard. Breakfast was humongous although very busy the first day , second day was more relaxed. Color scheme was modern fresh.

Lifts are small for such a large building. Parking onsite expensive but due to lower season street parking worked . Coffee tea making facilities should be present.

Really liked the room - light and bright with 2 small double beds. USB charging points right next to beds. Large shower. TV with lots of channels - Catalan, Spanish, French, German and Italian with BBC World News. Mini fridge. Adequate hanging space and space to store luggage. Side sea view of Bay of Roses. Hotel very well situated with a short walk in one direction to the centre of L’Escala and in the opposite direction to a large sandy beach - Platja de Riells. Very good selection of sweet and savoury items at breakfast. Free wifi which worked well inside the hotel and just outside by the pool.

We had dinner (buffet-style) on both nights of our stay and though there was quite a good selection of food, all of the main course dishes we tried were lukewarm and none of the meat dishes in sauce were labelled, so if you wanted to avoid a particular kind of meat, it wasn’t possible. Parking was a little on the dear side at 12 euros a night but to be fair, parking in L’Escala can cost a similar amount for 5-6 hours.
