The view from our window of the ocean coming into the area between the hotel and a spit of land opposite it was outstanding! The beach there is beautiful, as well as the walk and views of the ocean along the top of the land on the other side of the beach. We liked the hotel’s location within walking distance of the restaurants downtown and we really liked the ability to walk over to and on a part of the Northern Camino de Santiago trail which goes through Llanes.

From pictures, we expected the hotel restaurant to be open, at least for breakfast, but when we were there during the first week of November, it was closed for the Season. It would be nice if either an electric kettle were in the room or, at least, coffee and tea were available somewhere on site.

This hotel is all about location, location and is great value. We had one of the rooms that looks out over the beach and it is truly amazing. We were given some good tips by the reception staff about a lovely walk from the hotel along the cliffs which was stunning in the morning and a wander around the old town was also fascinating. The room was perfectly clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a great garage for storage of our bikes.

The hotel is just a little dated and weary. We were visiting off season and so that probably doesn’t help.

Wow what a beautiful hotel overlooking the small sandy bay in Llanes. Our room and bathroom were huge, with a fantastic sea view from our hotel room window. Staff were very helpful and provided us with secure underground parking for our motorcycles. The town was a short walking distance away and we found a fabulous restaurant.

I swam in the sea on a couple of occasions, the hotel had its own access to the beach but lacked an outside tap to wash sand off feet This is a very minor gripe, it would be good for the hotel owner as it would reduce the sand getting taken into the rooms.

Location, location location. Right on the beach. Great sea/beach view from the bedroom. On the edge of the medieval town. Close to the marina. Good parking garage with easy access.

Breakfast was offered as an extra in the hotel restaurant which seemed almost like a separate business accessed from outside the hotel. First day was very good. Second day was an entirely different bad experience. Needless to say there was no third day.

The woman who checked me in was super nice and helpful and switched to English (given my limited Spanish). She gave me a map and pointed out walks to take where to find restaurants etc. The hotel is located in a lovely spot, overlooking a small beach and right next to the old stone church. A short walk to restaurants. I did the cliff walk at sunrise and it is lovely. The views back to the mountains from here are magnificent. Los Picos look like they'd be great hiking. No view from my room but the breakfast restaurant overlooks the beach. Lovely. Wish I had stayed longer.

Although our room overlooked the garden, our spacious ensuite bathroom overlooked the ocean! We were treated with an amazing sunrise-a fantastic way to begin the day. Must also add that the lady at reception is the most helpful person I have ever met. She went out of her way to explain the best short walks around the hotel (which is in an excellent location to explore Llanes town), and alerted us to the inclement weather due the following day. She’s a superstar!

I loved the hotel and the location was amazing. I only stayed one night and was shocked that I was given a bay room. I thanked the desk clerk. Who replied "I noted you were here one night" I then commented that it was my first time in her town. The desk clerk smiled and said "Then I hope you will come back to my town." What a great response! Then the room was amazing with a view of the bay. The bathroom was big with a bathtub. Overall I loved the hotel, the staff, the room. I will come back, and I will stay there again and book through booking.com

We highly recommend staying at Hotel Sablon. The location was amazing, right on the beach with spectacular views. It was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Maria greeted us so well with all the local information we needed. She has the best sense of humour. I did not want to leave. Great town, fantastic accommodation!!!

The location couldn’t be better, right on the beach and within easy walking distance to the old town and a nice walkway above town on the seawall. There is a restaurant on site. The staff were super friendly and helpful

Room was a bit small and had modest furnishings but all the basic amenities we needed, including a nice balcony.

We reserved an ocean view and it was beautiful. Location couldn't be better. The hotel has a restaurant we'd rate very well and came in very handy when it was raining. Clean, quiet, comfortable. They have secure parking right across the street, important for us with our motorcycle. The staff was friendly and helpful.

My husband is tall and often has to compromise some comfort. I was fine with the bed length and shower height, but they were too short for him.
