Angelats Hotel

This place is exceptional. Once you enter the building, you are told its history and how it was transformed in the hotel. The location is in the middle of the woods, so once you wake up in the morning all you see through the window is an endless forest. The breakfast was delicious and I aslo recommned to have dinner at La Santa restaurant, the food is of highest quality and you are being served by really nice people. The guys owning this place and working there have the real passion to what they are doing. I'm already planning my next stay there. Gracias un montón

We spent 4 nights in the hotel and we had the most amazing time we could ever ask for. When we arrived to ribes de Freser on the train, a taxi was not available and Diego, from Reception picked us up with his private car so we could get intonthe hotel. During our time in the hotel, the treatment was excelent, we felt welcome and everyone was really attentive every time. The food was excepcional, the room was impeclable clean, the breakfast was incredible good and the hotel and the location is a dreamed paradise. If you are thinking on visiting Vall de Nuria and to expend some days surrounded by nature, and to enjoy the food and be treated and spoiled, this is your place to book. Worth every penny. We will definitely be back.

We loved EVERYTHING, nothing to fail.

Everything! Specially the views, the green areas , the peace, the breakfast was amazing ! Diego and all the staff was incredible, the dinner at La Santa, the drinks at the pool, the bed was super comfortable, the lovely house and it’s history, the pool table and the lovely morning walks around the property to el roble and the waterfall ! We celebrated our second year wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a better place ! Thanks for everything !

The restaurant on-site was a pleasant surprise, excellent food and reasonably priced. The breakfast that comes included was also delicious. The property is beautiful and quiet, and the staff were very friendly.

I wasn’t super impressed with the room we stayed in, I thought it could use some design and aesthetic updates, plus it was much smaller than I was expecting (but the bed was huge and very comfortable). To improve the overall experience I would have liked to have had a hot tub and heated pool, as well as an outdoor fireplace/fire pit.

What an amazing experience. Everything was perfect, from the location, facilities, hospitality, the staff, to the food. We went to Angelats looking for some peace and tranquility and found more than that. Angelats is not just a hotel. It is a sensory experience. The staff did not spare any effort to make us feel as comfortable, relaxed and welcomed as possible. This is a place where you can stay in the property for the whole duration of your stay. It has everything, a pool, an amazing bar lounge, a fine dining restaurant and amazing hiking trails all within the property. Special thanks to Diego for his hospitality and selflessness when we needed rides to the town. To Ada who we we looked forward to seeing every breakfast and every dinner. To Cristina who made sure that all of our needs were met. We will absolutely make Angelats a permanent stop whenever we visite the region. Thank you so much and we hope to see you very soon. It's difficult to find anything to fault this place on. Diego and Cristina were incredible, and they've created a piece of tranquility that you'll want to come back to time and time again. The views are astounding, the food is delicious (and plentiful), the building is beautiful, and the interiors are like stepping into a perfectly preserved slice of history. The sofas in the study were particularly sublime! Most of all, the hosts were happy, friendly, and there whenever you needed anything. They even gave tours of the surrounding waterfalls and woods, and gave me lifts in their car when I was stuck. They clearly love what they do.

5-star in many ways: - the location: hiking opportunities from hotel. Take good hiking shoes and make time to see the waterfall 20 mins away - the building: make time to enjoy the light-filled living room - the service: Diego and the staff were really helpful - the breakfast: local products and good selection

- the shower: temperature switched from hot to cold too easily but otherwise the bathroom was excellent - lack of room wifi but it has its pluses too if you want to disconnect

Great vegan options, staff were friendly and the fact that there was a restaurant next to the actual hotel was convenient for those nights we were to lazy to get the car and drive into town.

Just delightful, I loved the old elegance and charm of this mountain retreat. The location is spectacular with lovely countryside trails. The restaurant is fabulous. The staff treat you like returning family. Wonderful.

The location. Yes it’s hard to find the hotel sign, but once you do......... an old and authentic great castle in the middle of the forest, Some will like some less (middle of forest), but the smile and welcome of Rodrigo will assure you that you are in good hands.
