The hotel was great, very good location between the main square and the castle. Our room was lovely and comfortable, there was a bath and shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, and we had secure parking in an underground garage at the rear of the hotel.

everything was great

Amazing location! It really could not have been better. Driving into the city center was a little intimidating, but the directions were very clear and it was an easy and scenic walk to the main plaza. The room was lovely and the staff were incredibly friendly. It was also a very good value for the high quality of the hotel. We also had the very best shower, with excellent water pressure and amount of hot water, that we’ve had on our entire three week trip through Spain and Portugal. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this beautiful town.

Nothing! Everything was perfect. We should have stayed longer.

Inside walled city that took you back in time. Room was modern so to speak as the building was built 15 years ago to look old like surrounding buildings. It had modern conveniences you would expect. The breakfast was very good and well stocked with many options. There is much to see and do in this walking city. We got some good tips from the staff. There is no shortage of pastry shops, wine bars, and great restaurants either.

We had a bit of trouble with heat control in our room. The staff took care of it through the modern controls installed. We did not have a car but there is not much parking close. There is a small garage under the hotel that charges per night. Shopping and town square area very entertaining.

The room was very clean, bright, well appointed with all necessary things including coffee machine, mini fridge and a safe. Fantastic view of the valley, countryside and the Alcázar from the balcony (had room with balcony on same floor as reception). All the staff was amazing and helpful, even though I spoke very poor Spanish. Only 1-2 mins walk to the wonderful Restaurant Don Meson with incredible cochinillo asada (suckling pig). A short walk to the Plaza Mayor and everything else you need. The breakfast (9€) was pretty good as it included a few hot items as well as pastries, great selection of fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, and good coffee. Only 3 mins downhill walk to the Alcazar. Great common patio with grassy area and tables. Nothing not to love about this hotel.

If you want a place right next to restaurants and bars, this is not it. But that was not what I needed.

The decor was fantastic and really close to alcazar and cathedral.

the parking was a bit complicated as you need to drive past the hotel bear left past the castle, keep looking on your left for a brown garage door with the sign ‘ Hotel Don Felipe ‘, press intercom and reception will open the door. Access to reception within garage and use of a lift.

We booked quite late and only managed to secure a room which looked onto the internal patio so, before we arrived we were not expecting all that much. We were really surprised by the size of both our room and the bathroom. The comfort and space more than made up for the lack of an immediate view of the city. We had regally good weather during our stay and got all the ‘in house’ views we wanted from the gardens. The hotel is also really close to the cathedral which leads onto the Plaza Mayor, a perfect place to enjoy a meal and from which to set pout and explore the city.

The city council are in the process of renovating some of the pedestrian areas of Segovia. During our stay these included the street directly in front of the hotel. However, we were in no way disturbed by the sound of roadworks, we only experienced some inconvenience navigating to and from the hotel around cut off routes. Of course we realise that this is a temporary inconvenience and something totally beyond the hotel’s control. Future visitors will no doubt be able to appreciate the newly renovated pedestrian area.

At $125 per night weekend stay, it was among the best "mid-priced" hotels I had during an extended stay in Spain in terms of comfort, upkeep of room, and quality of furnishings.

Room was a bit cramped. New chic door locks require guests to slam room doors to close, which is a problem from a noise perspective. World's smallest in-room safe has capacity for keys, phone, and wallet and nothing more. Did not get a tour or overview of property and thus did not discover rear view terrace until time of departure. Breakfast served in joyless windowless room with a TV droning on is a glum affair with offerings that appeared to be primarily toasted bread and coldcuts.

Pleasant room, shower in bath but fine. Only a coffee maker in the room and no tea. T-bags given when asked. Lovely view from back garden.

On arrival, the guy at reception said he needed my passport, I said I had left it at a friend's house for security. He was quite difficult about this, leading me to believe, I had nowhere to stay that night and would lose the full payment I had made. My friend, who is Spanish tried to reason with the guy. I offered my photo driving licence showing my full name and address and reminded him I had already paid, so I wasn't likely to leave without paying, he was still quite difficult. Whilst my friend was talking to him, I went to their information on the Booking.com page and it clearly stated photo id was required, I put this to him, he immediately backed down, no apology given. The other staff member we saw, a lady, was lovely, helpful and cheerful.

Great location for the Alcázar - could see it from the room. During my stay the road outside was being worked on - but the hotel kept me informed prior to arriving so I could drive to the back entrance - many thanks for that. Easy walk to main square in Segovia with plenty of restaurants. As usual in Spanish old towns, the parking garage is a bit tight and suitable for small vehicles.

Nothing. It's not the hotel's fault that the council was digging up the road which was inconvenient on the day.

Hotel is in a great location: <100meters from the Alcazar, the Cathedral and Plaza Mayor. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of hot and cold options. Rooms are spacious. Hotel also has Terrace with a view of the Alcazar which we were able to enjoy with a glass of wine. Finally, it was súper convenient that the hotel offers parking. We’ll certainly be back for our next trip to Segovia

Hotel uses Central A/C system which is controlled centrally. We visited during August (and I think during one of the hottest days) and we felt A/C was not strong enough to cool down the room during the day (OK at night time)
