This Parador is exceptional in every way. We booked a Superior Double room instead of a Regular Double and boy, it did not disappoint, complete with a large bathroom with an oversize tub, a large living area with two big double beds and a sofa, and a spacious enclosed balcony with tremendous views of historic Soria, the Douro River and sweeping views of the valley floor below. Not located inside the historic district, in a modern building high above the city, I really did not know what to expect. Well, it really knocked our socks off, also with plenty of free parking next to a lovely park. Also, the town of Soria itself was another pleasant surprise.

I suppose the only downside is that fact that it's a 15 to 20 minute walk down the hill to get to the historic district of Soria. But if u are a walker, it's an easy walk into town and back. I suppose this property may not be suitable for someone with mobility issues.

As you would expect with Parador, the hotel is in a lovely setting on a hill alongside a ruined castle. Hotel offers a pleasant and comfortable stay whilst only being a 25 or so minute walk down the hill and into the centre of Soria. Rooms are good with excellent views.

Hotel car parking is free but the car park is a bit on the small side so will fill up quickly on busy days. Free on-road parking is also available nearby.

Great view across the city from the room as the hotel is high on a hill. Evening dinner was excellent.

There was a structural pillar about two feet in diameter right next to the bed making it awkward to get in and out. Not able to walk into town to find restaurant as hotel was high on a hill with nothing in close proximity.

It was spacious and had a luxury feel. There were excellent views of Soria and its surrounds. The hotel was at the top of a hill on which was laid out very impressive parkland. The staff were friendly and everything was spotlessly clean. There were things like body lotion provided in the bathroom. There was a reasonably sized sun balcony (enclosed by glass, with windows one could open if desired).

The breakfast was a bit disappointing - the staff were flat out but there seemed to be far too few of them which meant that service was somewhat erratic. The more assertive customers seemed to do better than we did! Quite a few breakfast items (eg the yoghurts) had run out and the fruit offering was very limited. What they had though was of nice quality. Overall the feeling we had was of a place that looked very nice but struggled to deliver a good standard of service. There are two different routes to drive up to the hotel - both have bends but one is steeper and has some significant hairpins: we ended up on the latter, which required some concentration on a motorcycle with full luggage and a pillion in the rain!

A fantastic Parador. A modern building with excellent facilities. Restaurant, bar, terraces, bedrooms and bathrooms all very good. Adequate parking. Good value for money and very friendly, welcoming staff. What more do you need?

I have stayed several times before and food in restaurant was always good. This time both my wife and I had beef, we have had beef before and it was very good, but this time the quality of the cut was very poor.

The location was great and high above the town with views out over the hills.

Excessive noise from the restaurant area, which was below our room. Scraping of chairs at the tables from diners went on until 23:30.

It was a really amazing stay , the hotel is just perfect from the stunish view from the window until the amability of the personal and quality of the furniture I would like to come back in autumn as its a great please to relax or even work remotely some days

The staff have all been very helpful but the best attraction is the location of this beautiful hotel. It’s definitely a must for hikers, mountain bikers and wildlife loving people.

The offering at the breakfast table was not totally to my liking but would not influence me enough going to stay in this hotel again.

Amazing location at the top of a hill with the most fantastic views. Our room had panoramic views from the bedroom and bathroom and we even had a side sun room where we could sit and watch the sunset. There are lots of walking trails around. The food in the restaurant was good.

We were only staying one night!
