we loved everything about this place. We stayed at Place18 (the luxury extension of Casa del Califa) it felt like a village in the village with its organic restaurant and breakfast place. rooms were stylishly decorated, with refinement. bathroom amenities were luxurious. we loved the art in the house. (we were lucky to be alone on the house, felt like home) - the view from the room was breath taking. our favorite romantic trip so far.

the quality of the tea could have been better (we often carry our own) but they offer delicious moroccan pastries at tea time so that totally made up for it !

Amazing property, very unique in its ambiance and decor, I've never been anywhere that resembles it! Attached to a great restaurant, and in an amazing location. Comfortable beds and super nice staff who went out of their way to accommodate. If you have a car, reserve a parking spot in advance!

There was a 2 week summer fair happening when we stayed, so it was super loud at night til very late because this property is located basically right off the main square. But this is not the property's fault, I think everyone who was staying near downtown heard this. Honestly this hotel is 10/10

The place is very pretty and well organised. The breakfast has a traditional northafrican touch as has the dinner and drinks menu at the restaurant and the roof top bar. There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area of Verje de la Frontera and it offers easy access to Bolonia Beach which was our favourite beach spot to go in the area.

Nothing major. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but a ticket for a parking garage can be bought for 15 euro per night (Sep 2023). We did this to save us the search for a car park each evening...

Great location. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The roof top bar and staff were perfect. The Restaurant was excellent (both food and staff). Breakfast was served in the same location but was not quite as good. The character and style of the hotel made it a memorable place to stay.

We were uncomfortable in our room as there was no way to control the wall mounted heater. The room lacked storage space (some drawers needed) and could really benefit from some hooks to hang towels or coats. One ot two additional sockets would be useful. Just some relatively minor practical adjustments could make a big difference.

The restaurant is superb, specialising in North African and Middle Eastern style food, with top quality service and setting. The tea terrace is also a great place to sit and have a drink with a great selection of tea and coffee and good cocktails. The rooms are converted from old houses in a Moorish complex and are very quiet, comfortable and full of character.

I was very happy with the stay. The wifi code did not work but as the 4g reception was good I did not bother to ask reception. Parking is a bit tricky but the hotel recommended parking spots nearby and it worked out fine.

lovely hotel with a Moorish theme and fabulous restaurant and food

unloading luggage there is a parking spot outside hotel with the disabled sign covered by a tree and not obvious and beyond a few bays for unloading we were gone 15 mins to check in and unload and find where hotel parking was and got a 200 euro ticket. 100euro if paid quickly. thought this was sharp practice by the council and maybe hotel staff could make guests aware that the one space is for disabled and you will get a ticket and to use the bays next to it. they were full with lorries when we arrived.

A charming boutique hotel in the Moroccan/Andalusian style.Elegant rooms and a fabulous restaurant - one of the best. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. Gorgeous roof top bar with amazing views Lovely central location. Truly 10/10.

Our rooms were on the ground floor next to a little lane leading from the restaurant. It was a little noisy on our first night as people left the restaurant but otherwise I couldn’t fault it.

The little courtyards were charming. The view from the bar terrace spectacular. The restaurants, in and out, attractive, breakfasts great.Front desk extremely helpful, location wonderful.

One of our rooms had no windows to speak off. Air condition did not work in same.Would have been nice if there were some chairs and a small table to play cards at instead of the tv.

Excellent location a stone’s throw from the Plaza de Espana and it’s bars and restaurants. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely restaurant and excellent food, particularly the breakfast. Wonderful views from our room.

Very little to say here - just minor things, eg it would have been nice to have tissues in the room and for the water bottle to be replenished daily. Not a complaint but just a note for potential guests not good with steps. The hotel has a lot of them! It’s all part of its charm and history but just to make less mobile guests aware.

The bed was large & comfortable. The hotel location was excellent and the staff were great. The terraces and roof bar were brilliant. The restaurant was outstanding as well.

Access to bathroom from bedroom was a little awkward as was the access to the room (steep stairs) but it's an old, quirky hotel so that wasn't really an issue. However, there was a lot of noise from above (loud footsteps, heavy objects being moved) both mornings which was irritating.
