It was a good experience! Beautiful view from the room! 1st line from the ocean. Delicious food on the menu a-la carte, good varied breakfast. Special thanks to the staff at the restaurant "STUTI"!!! Also I want to highlight the spa!

maintenance of rooms

Hey travellers. We booked a last minute stay in Turyaa as some of our travel plans had changed. I have to say our experience was superb. The hotel is clean and well maintained. (although we didn’t see the south wing as it was closed for renovations) They’ve got amazing view overlooking the beach and the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. However what made sour stay really memorable is the service. The staff is very friendly and professional. I could say everyone was great but a few employees stood out: Hirosha, Washanti, Sashini, Chamath, Tharuk. We interacted with them the most and they really made us feel special during our stay. I would recommend to stay in this hotel if you are looking for relaxation. However if you are adventurous and looking to explore there is actually not much to do in Kalutara and the surroundings.

Too strong waves and current prevented us from swimming. Although it’s not the hotels fault but this was the only negative.

1. No Room Service

Staff was very friendly and supportive. Specially I appreciate the food and beverage Manager the short lady gave a very professional service even though we had a false promising from a different employee. Head chef is really professional. He carefully monitor the satisfaction of us. What a personality. Food is awesome.

615 room back door lock was broken. Fridge was not working properly. Make sure your meal type with them first (set menu/ buffet) or else you will be disappointed. But FnB manager covered and handle it nicely and professionally.

The foods was delicious. The staff and the services they gave us, were good. We had great fun with Turyaa Kaluthara.

Had a great stay at this place last month . Food was delicious and there were many choices too. There are two pools in the hotel. The second pool has a pool for little kids with low water levels which is great. Not only swimming you can do many other activities like Darts, volleyball, cricket. Plenty of space to have your own peace. There us a gym and also a jogging path if you need to do some cardio. Loved staying at this place. Definitely I would recommend to anyone who looks for a calm and quiet stay with a great service.

Has 2 separate pools. Large one is mostly for kids and thats awesome. Dinner and lunch buffet are great. Favourite ones are scrambled egg, omlett, crab curry and deviled beef curry. Rooms are comfortable and clean.

Staff didnt welcome us warmly. (One waiter has roaming around to give cool drinks) No one there at the reception for few minutes. Had to wait till someone come and say we came for checkin. No one there to pick our baggages to the room. Dining area in the restaurant got wet when raining. Its not covered enough to keep chairs and tables to not getting wet from rain and wind.

Meals were great. Excellent breakfast & dinner spreads. A wide variety of items were available and were nicely prepared. Pool was large and cleanly maintained. Pool is quite shallow, safe for kids, but not exactly great if you want a deep dive. Pool area is really nice and well maintained. There's a pool bar as well. Room & bath were spacious

Beach area is a bit less clean than the hotel itself. Service was a bit slow when requesting room service, but that's understandable as it was a quite a heavy weekend at the hotel. Did not like the wrist band they want you to wear during your stay. Bit uncomfortable.
