An amazing experience! The property is not too big, and it feels like you’ve rented a villa fully to yourself! very comfy spacious rooms, amazing terrace with jacuzzi and pool (both much appreciated after an early morning safari), all clean and very well kept. We also loved the facilities outside the room: have a five o’clock tea in the garden, watch a fascinating sunset over the lake on the rooftop, have a game or two in the game room. Food was great as well, enough to choose from and well cooked. And the staff honestly made us feel soooo welcomed, I can’t express in words!!! we were surrounded with care and attention long before our arrival (agreeing the beds, safari, food etc ) and much more so during our stay! The staff was quick and eager to answer any request with truly friendly attitude.

not a big deal, but may be worth mentioning: wifi is not the strongest, but you don’t expect to be able tohold a videoconference in the wild, right? and there is an option to pay with a card, but ours did not go through (turkish). I’m sure the trouble is on our end, just keep in mind that cash might be helpful.

We had a great time, just would have appreciated a heads up about the liquor license not being ready yet so we could buy beer on the way to the hotel.

Located on a lake with wetlands this was a great start to the Yala/safari experience - an extraordinary find this boutique gem has brilliant very large Villa style suites ( private pools/ jacuzzi )tastefully decorated in local timbers and fabrics - full size fridge was a bonus - several cool public spaces to meet and hang out around a pool/ swim up bar. The main lodge has great relaxing dining spaces and the private chef cooks to order- the food was delicious Abundant helpful and friendly staff everywhere ! Sophia was great managing the entire guest experience pre arrival and in house. I will never forget sitting in the jacuzzi in my balcony looking out over the wetland / lake watching the graceful water birds. This place was a rare great find that exceeded my expectations by far - give it a try .

The property is BYO liquor ( they advise you before arrival ) there is a liquor store in the small town just before you turn off to the resort

From the moment of my booking with Allure Yala, all information has been shared to me in advance. Friendly staff shared me all necessary information before visiting the property. They were kind enough to answer all my silly questions.. Location was easy to find with google maps. There was a warm welcome when we reached. It is a nice facility. Spacious Suite with a privet pool and ample private space. Top of the class amenities. People are friendly. Food was great. With a very short notice Safari was arranged on our request. Enjoyed the luxury blended with the nature. Allure offers excellent value for money. Its a great place to be. We have really enjoyed our stay. Want to be back soon as time permits...

Nothing at all.

The place has super nice and forthcoming staff. They really did everything they could to make our stay the best experience. Also the whole place has high quality interior compared to what we have seen elsewhere in Sri Lanka. It is very spacious and a quiet place.

Maybe worth mentioning that the place is very remote. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it allows for some peace and quiet with a wonderful lake view but you would definitely need to order a tuktuk or car 15min in advance to get you anywhere. There is nothing in walking distance. Another thing about the whirlpool: it seems like the heating doesn’t work. It is hard to use a cold tub even with 30+ degrees outside.

My welcome on arrival was very nice, all the staff greeted me and smiled. It’s important that staff are confident to do this, even if they don’t speak much English. Ishan was very helpful and check-in went smoothly. Communication was good. The suite was very comfortable, I like the space that it has, and the seating / dining area was nicely arranged. The plunge pool was both refreshing and private. All furnishings were tastefully chosen and very good quality bed linen and towels. The shower was good. The view of the lake from the verandah is stunning and I had a peaceful time relaxing and taking in the view. Most important: I can see that you care about people. Thank you.

Absolutely outstanding. The best place we have ever stayed, in all the years of travelling. It was so luxurious, the aesthetics were 10/10 and you could see how much detail has gone in to making the perfect stay while in Yala. Communication was great from Sofia when we booked and she arranged our safari. Brilliant pre checkin information , everything we needed to know. While we were there Ishan was superb , nothing was too much trouble and he was there for anything we needed. So polite and friendly. The food we had during our stay were the bests meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far, absolutely delicious. We loved having a choice of where to dine. This would be perfect for both families and couples. Highly recommend allure .

The location was excellent, the chef - Mr.Upasena churned out mouth-watering dishes based on your requests, the in-house manager - Mr.Ishaan is hands-on and always available to meet the smallest of our needs, the online support provided by Ms.Sofia is unbelievable as she is available 24x7 and responds instantly....All in all, one of the best properties, if not the BEST, I stayed till date. Will definitely visit a 2nd time, just to relax and do nothing at the property for its calm, serene surroundings and for its unbeatable hospitality.

there's nothing NOT to like about this property.

The staff were so helpful and willing to meet our every need. There was building work being carried out on site but it didn’t affect us at all. In fact the company director offered to show us around the new rooms and new pool, bar and outdoor food area they are building and they are going to be amazing.

There were a lot of insects but anywhere around Yala National park and the lakes would be the same. When I expressed concern about one particular insect, a member of staff came and disposed of it straight away.

We loved our stay at Allure. From the moment we arrived, Ishan and the team really looked after us. The rooms and hotel in general are absolutely gorgeous. Huge comfy beds, lovely big bathrooms and private little pool areas. The location is great for visiting Yala National Park. It is really peaceful right by beautiful lake - we saw an amazing sunset from the rooftop one evening. It's one of the most memorable places we've ever stayed.

Some of the western food wasn't so great, but this is understandable considering we are in Sri Lanka! It was not unpleasant, but I'd just suggest sticking to local dishes which were better. All the Sri Lankan food we had was lovely - we had delicious rice and curry, plus a lovely soup and crab dish.
