The rooms, location, food, staff. Everything. The kids club was fantastic! Big shout out to our butler Anthony and all the amazing staff at the Restaraunt and guest services. We felt like family. They went over and above for us!

Everything at the hotel was overpriced - food, wine, babysitting services. This was a common complaint amoungst the guests. It meant that we felt we need led to eat out and do things outside of the hotel to avoid being ripped off.

The hotel is stunning; the moment you step inside, it's a "wow" experience. Everything is beautifully decorated and seamlessly blends with the local culture. Surrounded by lush greenery, the property exudes positive energy. Our private room host, Thisari, was incredibly kind and attentive to all our needs. There are numerous complimentary activities available. We enjoyed a guided nature walk and a boat ride on the lagoon, both great experiences. Additionally, there are various other activities to diversify your stay without ever leaving the hotel. All staff was very kind and always with a smile. While at the beach, we met Sri, a travel agent who helped arrange our transportation to the next hotel. I highly recommend his services; everything went smoothly, and it was more affordable than we had anticipated.

The spa's prices are excessively high. Despite the presence of lifeguards, the sea was choppy during our stay, so it's important to be vigilant while enjoying the beach.

Nice location on the beach!

Unfortunately too many kids and families not respecting the pool rules so not a good environment to use the pool during our stay and the ocean almost as rough as the water in the pool.

Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms and amazing staff.

The food and restaurants are not up to usual Anantara standards. Whilst the breakfast was good with a huge selection of food and freshly cooked eggs the rest was an over-priced disappointment. The evening buffet was the worst, warm and tepid food. And priced at approx 50 USD per person, I would give this 2 stars. The Asian restaurant wasn’t a lot better. I had fish cakes to start that were flat, solid and bland, tasted like they were frozen. The pork curry was tough and poor meat. On the upside was the salmon sushi which was perfect. Again very expensive for what it was. The Italian restaurant wasn’t the best, we would rate 4 / 5. Our criticism is only of the food, all the staff were great.

Anantara Peace Haven Hotel truly lives up to its name—it’s a little slice of paradise. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We stayed for five nights, and while it is pricier than some other options we considered, it was absolutely worth every penny. The service was exceptionally friendly and professional, with an attention to detail unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever had, and the two on-site a la carte restaurants served outstanding food with impeccable service. A special shout-out to Kavi, who took such great care of us during our stay, and to Jeewa for making sure we always had drinks and snacks on an evening. They truly made our experience even more memorable. If you’re considering booking a stay here, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed!

The spa I thought was very expensive for the treatments offered.

Beautiful hotel, it has so much you can do as part of your stay so I was gutted we got their late in the afternoon. You are allocated a personal assistant who is on call with whatever you need which is a lovely touch. The food was delicious, breakfast was great! my friend couldn’t get enough of the crab curry in the Asian restaurant, though the desserts needs changing a bit. The products (cream, soap shampoo etc.) were one of the nicest I’ve used in a 5* hotel. The staff were great! I love the little touches they add when you arrive and Farwell ceremony.

It might have been because of the humidity but the beds were damp, we did ask for them to change the sheets which they did. The Bathroom smelt of sewage in the morning, not sure if it was because of the rain but not great!

Large, clean, modern rooms. Huge bathroom, with a large shower. Large balcony with a couch and glass parapet, to fully enjoy the exceptional beautiful view. Tour organization, especially the safari. Lots of cute animals on the premises (chipmunks, peacocks, land monitors, etc.) Good a la carte restaurants. Very nice beach that is (kind of) exclusive for the hotel guests. Lots of friendly staff, availabe 24/7. Nice, clean, pool area, with food and drink service. Lots of sunbeds.

Expensive buffet; It has a high quality and very large choice, but if you're not planing to eat tons of food, the value for money is not given. Luckily they have two a la carte restaurants and the in room dining as reasonable alternatives. Everything is rather pricey, so don't expect cheap Sri Lankan prices.

We could not be more thrilled with our experience at Anantara Peace Haven. The whole experience was flawless from before check-in to after check-out. FOOD: The breakfast was exceptional, with a huge range of options that were all delicious. COMFORT: The rooms are large and extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed. The view was beautiful and the bathroom clean and spacious. ACTIVITIES: The complimentary activities, including yoga, was very much appreciated. POOL/BEACH: Both pools are comfor1table and the nearby beach is excellent for a day relaxing - unfortunately, you cannot swim in this beach due to dangerous currents and waves, however, there are plenty of nearby beaches safe for swimming. CUSTOMER SERVICE: The professionalism and care of the staff is second to none. We had an exceptional experience delivered by all staff on site, including the housekeeping, check-in staff, restaurant service as well as pool/beach guards. We would like to give a very special mention to Yashani de Alwis who truly ent above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect stay. The personal concierge service is unique and was deeply appreciated. Overall, this place far exceeded our expectations.

Our only criticism is that the restaurants onsite felt slightly overpriced. Although the food and service was excellent, the price cost was quite expensive. There are plenty of nearby restaurants in Tangalle so this was no problem.

The bed and pillows were comfy, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food was top notch and the weather.. Stunning! We took day trips to yala national park, turtle rehabilitation and the tea plantation, but honestly there's so much to do at the resort that you don't even need to leave. There's tennis, table tennis, pool table, badminton, spa, gym, beach, 2 pools, complimentary activities such as a boat ride and yoga and there's also many peacocks, monkeys and hares roaming around the resort. They also assign a host to you, ours was Anthony, who was extremely helpful in booking massages and answering out questions. It's definitely one of the best resorts we've been to. We'll definitely be back!

Everything was perfect!

An amazing hotel, amazing service - the staff go above and beyond, and are all so kind. The food and drinks were amazing, and the room was also amazing. Lots of service provided in the hotel e.g. gym,spa, tennis courts, coconuts… Lots of space around pools and beds for all guests, comfortable sunbeds and two towels provided at the pool everyday. Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in and would love to come back.

Some things definitely felt overpriced once we got there e.g. the buffet if you are only looking for a small dinner. We also did the cooking class but felt this was overpriced too for what we got, although still an amazing experience - not worth 300USD.
