The historic building used to house a school and it has a nice charm to it. Although historic, it also has some modern aspects to it. Our room in the top floor appeared to be freshly renovated, clean and good-looking. Both the room and bathroom had a good size. We also had a fridge and mini-bar. The location of the hotel is quite good. It is next to the city center, a large bus station is close by, and the train station is also not too far which was nice because we traveled by train. However, parking slots for cars are directly in front of the hotel. Next to the hotel are some nice parks which was good because we came with our dog. The hotel provided a blanket, bowl, and a bag of treats for our dog which was nice. The breakfast was also super good and offered everything we needed. We would come again. Recommended!

Almost nothing. Minor thing: I didn't see an option for getting espresso-based drinks like a cappuccino during breakfast but also didn't ask for it.

Great location near the motorway but also walking distance to town. Building is imposing and impressive Great sound proofing in the rooms - we were not disturbed by others at all

Limited parking on site comes at a cost, can't be reserved and if it is full, you are on your own. Room felt too hot and there were no temperature controls in the room for us to adjust this. No tea or coffee facilities in the room and given the price being paid we'd have expected a complimentary mini bar. Good choice at the breakfast bar but no hot water as the urn broke. Would have expected a back up - IE kettle

During my short-trip to Sweden, this was the best hotel. The staff at the reception was very friendly, the service during dinner time and at the breakfast was also very good. The food was also the best that we had in all hotels, everything at the breakfast was great and the bread was fantastic. The room was really nice, with both the sofa and the bed being very comfortable, it's just overall a beautiful building with a really nice ambiente. All in all just a very good hotel and the next time I stay in Umeå, I will definitely book there again.

Really nothing to complain

Everything was great, the room, location, facilities and breakfast was just amazing. The only problem i had was the price of the parking being super expensive and the fact that the room had a weird scent when we came in, it smelt like smokes as if someone had smoked in there obviously. Other than that its a good hotel.

The Hotel Mimer was fabulous! Beautifully located, wonderfully stylish and incredibly comfortable, this is a fabulous hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and everything was done with minimum fuss and hassle. The architecture of the hotel itself is very impressive, and the conversion has been sympathetic to the fabric of the original building. The breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel!

The entire hotel is worth a stay, the people working there are friendly, they find solutions, and are very courteous. We could use the Sauna on check out day, got an upgrade when checking in etc. All in all a perfect stay! Highly recommended!

We had been looking forward to the restaurant and bar, but unfortunately both were closed.

The hotel combines an historic facade with a modern interior. Rooms are spacious with everything you need. A central dining area serves great food.

Poor ventilation in room. No fresh air as windows all sealed and air conditioning was not effective. worse nights sleep on our whole Scandinavian tour.

We had an early morning, and got a lovely breakfast bag!

Really wonder that this type of hotel doesn't have air-conditioning. Summers are hot and so was the room! The bar is closing at 22.00 and there is no coffee available.
