We loved the Azure. The staff were great from start to finish, including letting us check in a bit early, and handling our bags and a taxi at check out. They also stored our rental bikes for easy access and cycling in the area to Liyu lake and the coast. The room was comfortable and quiet and the vegetarian breakfast buffet was a daily highlight with dozens of great vege dishes to enjoy. Free laundry facilities were clean and easy to use.

The lights in the bathroom were too dark to see well at the sink. And we did miss a Toto washlet.

Location and breakfast

The breakfast restaurant is too small so it’s always crowded in the morning. I couldn’t even move around with my plates on my hands. It’s so dangerous and easy to pump into other people. I went at 6:45 and it’s almost full. Unbelievable! I notice there is a meeting room on the same floor. Hotel May consider to move the individual customers or big tour group to the meeting room to allow more comfortable space while having breakfast. The food was great and dining experience in a crowded place was terrible.

Nice rooms right in downtown Hualien. While the breakfast was vegetarian and we aren't vegetarians, it was great with lots of delicious food. Breakfast was also served nice and early before our early tour departures. Several good restaurants and the fun Dongdamen night market are within a 15 minute walk. We used the convenient hotel shuttle to pick us up at the Hualien train station as it would have been too far to walk with luggage.

Nothing stood out in particular but it is a perfectly fine and affordable hotel in Hualien. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful and there is a spacious lounge area where you can relax if you have some time to kill. The location of the hotel is OK. It’s not walking distance from the train station, but then again it’s very easy to get a taxi to get around. I rented a scooter to get from Hualien to Taroko, but you can also take a train or book a taxi. It’s about 30 minutes away. Next time I visit Hualien I’d probably book this hotel again.

If I had to mention one thing I would say that the window is not really a “window”. Technically it is because you can open it, but it’s covered with “privacy” stickers or something so you can’t watch through it (unless you open the window). It didn’t bother me to be honest, but if you really want a window this might be a disappointment.

Location was great, with MacDonald, KFC and family mart just opposite the hotel, and place was within walking distance from Dongdaemun night market. Facilities and amenities was great as well, there is a gym, children playroom and 24hours laundry room. House keeping service was good and timely as well. They offered bike rental service as well, but we didnt try.

Room could be bigger and there was no bellboy service at the front of the hotel.

Good location. Big clean room. Pleasant helpful staff. Very efficient. Excellently value for money.

No bar - but that seems to be common with hotels in Taiwan. Be aware that all the food is vegetarian. To be fair that was made clear in a pre-email form the property and repeated on checking in. Clearly not everyone is aware. It is however an excellent vegetarian breakfast buffet.

Your Gym facilities were a bit overstated.. 2 running machines and a cross trainer do not make a Gym… was very disappointed

the staffs' attitude

the 1st room aircon was not working well but they didn't inform us upfront. But they did manage to problem solve for me eventually. So I am very pleased with their crisis-handling attitude.

Beds were clean and cimfortable. Has a friendship room where you can gather to have tea but it closes at 10pm. Breakfast was decent. They don't serve meat, more vegetarian but we had eggs for breafast and enough variety for breakfast.

Incredible location, quiet with a beautiful view at night and great for people arching from the blacony by day. Lots of of food and shopping in the harbor marketplace, and easy access to transportation including the shuttle boat for only 50 NT per adult. The staff helped organize transport to Yilan following checkout. A perfect stay, can't wait to go back!
