The Visual Range hotel is a nice place to stay at in Hualien. We found it straight away as you only have to leave the train station at the rear exit and from there it is a 5min walk. Even with luggage easily doable. Be aware that there is literally not a lot in the neighborhood except of a school, so no shopping or nice restaurants. Nevertheless it was a pleasant neighborhood with not a lot of noise. Breakfast is delivered from a nearby breakfast place which is highly recommended (next to the rear exit of the train station). Our room was clean and pretty spacious. We also had a balcony, however there have not been any chairs :/ A water dispenser is on ground floor as well as a coffee machine (good coffee!) Overall the stay was good and we enjoyed the accommodation!

Big room, clean, lobby with free water, tea and coffee. Staff did the best they could (gave breakfast vouchers of 50 NTD when I told them I can't eat seafood (day 2 we got tuna sandwich and day 3 had small shrimp on the sandwish) and used translation software because couldn't speak English). Close (750 meter) from West-Exit of the trainstation.

2 out of the 3 breakfasts were seafood. I feel like they should ask if you have any allergies or make it possible to order the sandwich you want. When I finally did got in contact with the staff they did give me two 50 NTD vouchers for the breakfast shop. The breakfast is very little (1 sandwich) perhaps mention it in the advertisement so people know what to expect. No English speaking staff (got solved with translation software). Instructions in the room were only in Chinese. Better also include English instructions for none Mandarin Chinese tourists.

The location was just nice, the facilities and etc were working fine. Service was exceptional, we really appreciate when the staffs stayed til we arrived to check in. It was a really nice gesture :) and a pleasant first experience into Hualien.

The lack of food around, and perhaps we could maps to indicate nearby places of eateries. The walls were not soundproof at all, and we could hear our neighbours very clearly.

Super friendly and helpful staff, spacious and clean room with plenty of light, comfy bed and good bathroom, and even a sofa. It's an easy walk from the station, has a 7-Eleven very close by and there is a nice park where local elderly people hang out and practice tai chi and croquet.

Host respond quick to our request and enquiry. We walked from the station to the hotel at night, the road is good and feel safe to go. The room size and facilities match with the stated description and photos. Its clean and neat. Check in fast. Simple breakfast of sandwich and a cold drink is good. Hot coffee can be enjoyed anytime at the reception area.

Very near to Hualien station. Which is good for traveling. But a bit far from downtown. Especially if you're walking because there is no uber.

The shower can be a bit better. Cleaner. Shower head can be nicer. Water temperature is a bit hard to adjust.

Good size, comfortable room in a quiet location close to the train station. Owner was very friendly despite being worried about dealing with a foreigner (she spoke no English). Overall bedroom and bathroom were very clean although the walls in the bedroom felt a little grubby / in need of a coat of paint. Breakfast was a sandwich from a local breakfast shop that you could either have delivered to the room or collect yourself.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful in helping us to order one of our dinner.

Breakfast coupons can be used for a local delicacy sandwich bistro, very practical and flexible for trip arrangement. Very comfy and warm beddings. Nice touch of nespresso machine at lobby
