Flyinn Hostel

Very close to metro station, mall and shops. Love that they have self service laundry on site. Big common area. Staff was helpful especially the lady who did the housekeeping for the lady floor :) she went to get a dehumidifier when I requested one for the room because it was so humid that I couldn’t sleep well on the first night. The dehumidifier worked well.

The WiFi connection in the room was weak and slow. My mobile data worked faster than the WiFi but it worked well at the common area… common bathroom was alright but if there is a wall organiser that would be great because you wouldn’t want to put your own bath liquids on the floor…

Great value and customer service. They put me in the more expensive all-female room because it was available even though I had paid for the co-ed room. Facilities were the cleanest of all the other hotels and hostels I stayed at in a similar/slightly more expensive price range in the same area. Nice and quiet. Toothbrush/toothpaste were provided free and they gave you a locking cabinet that you could open with a keycard.

A bit too warm in the common areas, but the room itself had better air conditioning. This is a commonality I found in all hotels/hostels I stayed at in Kaohsiung. Also, my carry-on size suitcase just barely didn’t fit in the locker provided to us. Everything else was good, and for the price I think it was excellent.

Staff gave me access to the female floor for the bathroom, which is really spacious ! Great facilities and very clean ! They also give you slippers to wear inside.

On the last day wifi was not working well (maybe too much guests ?) Some coming and going in the room at all hours but that's what you expect when staying in a hostel.

The staff was really polite and nice. They were helpful when we ask for local hotspot. The private two bunk bed room was perfect size for two friends travelling. The hostel was very clean and the bathroom had many showers.

They said they offer breakfast on their website and on booking.com, but they didn't provide breakfast for the entire duration of our stay. The lobby close really early, so if you come back later you have no where to hang out but your room.

We booked this for the last night before flying back home. It was ideal for this, close to the MTR line to the airport, and very much a value for money option as we anyway didn't need to use the shared facilities much. We had a private double room with shared bathroom, and were very impressed with the standard of the toilets, they were clean at any time.

No daylight in the room or most of the premises overall

Close to MRT. Big lounge area, to sit, eat, watch tv, hang out.

Front door needs bright signage, simple bright border, red or white border around hostel name would help. Walked by twice and missed it, since I was walking by from the left side, from MRT. One showerhead was barely working.

Located near Kaohsiung harbor and Sanduo Shopping District Metro. Room was clean. Bathrooms had a LOT of water around the sinks at all times.

No window in my single-bed room. Free breakfast is advertised and written on every chalkboard in the hotel but is not actually available during COVID precautions (information not updated for 2 years)! Noisy locks on doors.

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. One of the nicest hostels I've stayed at while still keeping some charm and cute design. Youbike and a metro stop both within a block, and near two large department stores which have restaurants within them which saved me when I was desperate for a meal.

There is a bar in an adjacent building and so sometimes you can hear people chatting and laughing on the street, but not so loud that it greatly disrupted me (as someone who is pretty sensitive to sound).

Very close to the Kaohsiung Metro station. The room and shower room are clean. It's super nice and sweet providing the good dryers. I also like that the hotel plays music in the shower room. Everyone has an electronic induction locker cabinet in the dorm room.

Comfortable bed, lots of space and windows in the dorm, large common area

Location is fine but need to grab bus/MRT to get to most things. Don't have to pass through the common space when entering/leaving and no breakfast, so it's less social.
