This is not our first time staying at this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located. Not very far from the village of Paje, quite a lot of different cafes have appeared on the beach and nearby. The area is very green, the plants are monitored and looked after. Due to the large amount of greenery in the area it is not very hot. Nice pool. You can swim in the sea, but you need coral slippers. There is a pier leading into the sea, from which you can also go into the sea. In general, the hotel provides high-quality service, takes care of the rooms and grounds, and monitors security. Fully consistent with its status. PS. Breakfast could be expanded a little, adding some European options.

Everything was beautiful. Location on the bech, jetti bar above the water, super eqsy and chill restaurant with amazing food. The rooms are clean , the swimming pool is also excellent. Staff is super nice. I had an issues with the monkeys visiting our terasse, i was afraid of them...honestly, i was the annoying tourist who have issues wuth the animals living there :-)) but the staff was just simply nice with us

This is a great resort in a serene location near Jambiani, perfect for anyone who's looking for peace and quiet, and direct access to pristine white beaches. We travelled with family and found everything we needed and more. The staff were very friendly and happy to help with any and all requests, including helping us organize a few trips. There is a really cool bar located on the jetty / pier, which is directly accessible from the hotel. The food was also good quality and good value for money.

The mattresses could be a bit more comfortable and the A/C a little more powerful, but overall we had a great time and would definitely consider coming again.

Very poor,, limited WiFi, breakfast was good but the same everyday, pool was not too clean due to the lot trees and bushes, many ants on the terrace, there was some bad smell in the bathroom, and in the room as well

Perfect location right on the beach between Paje and Jambiani and therefore an oasis of peace! The rooms are located in a nicely maintained garden with the restaurant, pool and lounge area right on the ocean. The hotel has its own generator which makes the frequent powercuts on the island easy to deal with. Staff and management are super nice, friendly and helpful!!

My room had all the necessities but I personally always like a mirror I can see all of myself in and I would have liked to have somewhere to hang my wet clothes after swimming.

We like salt water in the pool, very nice and friendly staff. We have to mention Gertruda and Jonass, who been so so nice to us during our stay. The food in the resort was aslo very delicious but the menu could be bigger, boring for stay longer that 1 week.

We should be in 4* resort but the room was definitely not that level. We had very old room which need renovation. Main door and bathroom door creaked, both toilets were broken and leaking. The bed need more that 2 small pilows. The cabinet door can not be closed. The next thing is renovation works during our stay on the room next to ours which made a big discomfort for us mainly when you are travelling with small kid.

EVERYTHING! My stay was fantastic from start to finish. It was my first time in Zanzibar but everyone made my stay easy and enjoyable. The spa ladies, reception, housekeeping and restuarant staff were amazing. My room was perfectly located so I had both sea and pool view. Sunrises are to die for on the jetty. Honestly everything really was great. The room was large and always kept clean with daily housekeeping and evening turn down service to spray the bugs away plus fresh water. Staff always had a friendly smile, engaged in banter and made me feel at home and not alone. Internet was amazing. The massages were to die for. The bed was very comfortable and large. I stretched out and everything. Good wardrobe with lock safe for valuable. Accidentally didn't lock at times and nothing went missing. Aircon was great. It's not 5 star but it does a pretty good job. No TV in the rooms but you really won't need it. Some evenings have entertainment like live dancers, movie night, dj performances on the jetty as well as yoga on some mornings. There's a gift shop. Hotel is on the long stretch of beach joining Paje and Jambiani so lots of options for meals at other hotels and lots of excursions salesmen offering various adventures. The hotel does offer these as well if you prefer. About 5km of beach to either Paje where there's a great supermarket, local market with paintings, crafts etc and the main town with everything from ATM, bakeries, salons, ice cream parlours etc or go the other way to Jambiani. Most hotels have night events if you want to try something else out. Spice island hotel and resort is just well placed.

I have a terrible palate but I managed to eat most things or find something I preferred which the chef accommodated well. So this isn't a complaint but rather a compliment as my needs were met as best as possible. I booked on bed and breakfast basis so I could have options but ate at the hotel most evenings after all.

Beautiful gardens, pool and access to the beach. Great sunrise and Jetty Bar to watch sunset. Great staff and excellent breakfast. Rooms very clean and excellent shower with hot water.

Stayed in a family room at the back of the property and the adjoining room had no sound proofing. You could hear conversations, phones, snoring all night. Not conducive for a good nights sleep for a light sleeper.

I loved how the rooms where very distanced from one another and the eco-friendly gesture to have the opportunity to refill our water bottles at the reception. The food was tasty and most of the staff were very helpful with a positive attitude :) one even taught us how to play BAO.

The location was far from shops and restaurants. It was also difficult to get back to the hotel on the beach when the tide was high and it did not seem very safe to take the road either.

The hotel is in an unbeatable location with a small private beach that allows you to rest, sunbathe or read with sea views. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive, from waiters to management, always ready to help. The bar over the sea is a plus.

The food in the restaurant could be improved, especially breakfast. The pool is too deep so only part of it can be enjoyed safely.
