I love everything about my stay at Dream of Zanzibar. I traveled with my best friend to celebrate both our birthdays and they treated us so so well! The staff are so kind and. friendly! Especially Zachary (F&B Manager)/ Ngulele (Front Office Manager) & Jackson (Front Office Supervisor). The food was so good, they gave us royalty treatment for sure. I remember how beautifully they sang for us on our birthdays! I felt so loved and blessed. The icing on the cake was how Zachary asked us our favorite meals and set up for us a perfect surprise romantic dinner by the beach! We almost cried!!! He made us feel at home and so special! We took the all-inclusive premium package, worth the money! Drinks were made so well. The staff were also clean, well dressed, smelt so good and so kind

The SPA manager was a little overwhelming to be honest, he kept coming to us and interrupting us to tell us about the spa facilities despite seeing that we were busy. Though the spa treatment was good, he tried to charge us a different price from the price that we had agreed on, which put us off. It is good to note here, the management of the SPA is independent from the management of the hotel.

Brand-new hotel on a lovely white sand beach. The common areas of the hotel as well as the rooms are all very nice and new. There were some issues with electricity, but they have a generator on the premises, so the light and basic electricity work even when there's a power cut. The AC does NOT work during a power cut... so that was a bit of an issue, as on my arrival, the power had been out for a couple of hours and it was incredibly hot in the room. However, the issue was resolved after a while. I did get a free late checkout for the inconvenience, so that was really nice. Pool and beach area are very quiet, which I liked. Food was also very good!

As it's a new hotel, there are still some issues (with power cuts etc.). Most of the staff were very friendly, but some seem inexperienced. The chef at breakfast in the morning seemed very out-of-spirits (if not rude). The service at the pool was sometimes very slow (30min wait for a glass of water). If these issues are resolved, I feel this can be a very nice, relaxing hotel.

This was my first time traveling to Zanzibar on my own, and it was an amazing experience that I will cherish forever. The hotel is perfect—neither too big nor too small—and the beach next to it is stunning , perfect for long walks. The room was incredibly beautiful; I was amazed by how lovely it was. The staff truly touched my heart with their warmth and friendliness. Special thanks to Ngulele for taking such great care of me and always being there when I needed something and being so kind. I also want to express my gratitude to Jackson, Benvolt, Zacharia, Flothea, Joffrey, Nipher, Grace, Sophia, Ramadhani, and the rest of the team for making me feel so welcome. All your meals were amazing... the layout and variety was so surprising - attention to detail and staff greeting in the morning - offering the Zanzibar health shot makes it unique. Love the recycled bottles! I am taking that idea back to our home in Zimbabwe and will send you photos of our Zim style! Loved your table mats! It is important to see that you have embraced the local talents - this you have done well. Well done to the staff who in the end created a beautiful atmosphere... oh and we just loved the SPA... keep doing what you are doing!

I am not a language person... can only speak English... so I take off my hats to the waiters who have to work out what the guest is requesting! We had fun trying to explain, but in the end they got to know what we loved and it worked out just fine. The towels on the lounge beds around the pool - I feel your pain in keeping these fresh and dry - trying using a South African branded towel called Bobums... they work extremely well and dry quickly like a shami - sand resistant, fast absorbing body wrap, space saving, light weight.. try them!

Where do I start? The place is brand new, it just opened in November of 23. Staff-Amazing!! special thanks to Ulele and Happiness. Everyone was great and attentive Room- spacious, bed is very comfy, turn down service where they spray for mosquito and open the nest. AC is nice and cold close to the bed so no night sweat lol. Good size tv, sitting area that turns to a pull out bed. Fully stocked fridge with water, soft drinks and beer. Coffee is also in the room. Bathroom-Huge tub, private toilet with bidet and nice size standing shower Spa- Got to do the Cleopatra spa package-highly recommended Beach-the most beautiful clear white sanded beach!! If there's seaweeds the tides come in and take it back lol Food-Amazing!! Loved trying all the different they had daily. I did the all inclusive package...highly recommended! Thank you for such an amazing experience...I will be back!

5 days at the Dream of Zanzibar Resort and we didn’t want to leave. The staff are the highlight - kind, friendly, no job is too big or small, everyone makes an effort to speak to you and learn your name, drinks and food served quickly, made to feel safe at all times - I have never experienced such thorough and friendly staff. Ngulele is the Front Office Manager and we were so sad to say goodbye to him (and he felt the same - came to hug us goodbye even though it was his day off). We miss him already! Kato, Happiness, Nasya, Peter - everyone deserves to be named for how hard they work. Rooms - very clean and bathrooms modern. Staff come each evening to make beds / set up fly nets and spray mosquito repellant. Food - western or options of chips and pizza, local dishes, international curries/stir fry and also a grill. Four guests in our group and everyone had a full plate for each meal. Sometimes a little basic but three meals per day plus bar snacks plus room service - no one will go hungry! Entertainment - DJ one night taking song requests, Masai tribe performance on another night, otherwise music in the bar. Drinks - incredible. Not what you expect of an all inclusive (sometimes pre mixed or poor quality) Cocktails were amazing and staff are constantly coming to check if you would like more. Location - nothing is nearby, 1 hour from airport, beautiful walking up and down the beach but otherwise nothing in walking distance. White sand and blue sea is the most beautiful I have ever seen.

First of all, all members of the staff were very kind and helpful, they were amazing and they were ready to help us anytime. Property is relatively new, garden and pool area architecturally placed very good. The foods were ok. But I have to say how helpful the chef was. When housekeeping comes, they clean the rooms in great detail and meticulously. Cocktails were good. Customer relations were interested in every issue to ensure your satisfaction.

Not at all. There is algae on the beach at certain times of the day. However, of course this is not related to the hotel, but to the tide in the ocean.
