Very friendly ànd helpful staff. From Anna, Penda, Combe the superman and Omar at the reception to the restaurant staff, Joyce, Mary, Upendo and all the rest plus the Chefs Rebecca and Ana, so lovely and welcoming and always 😄 Also loved the location of the Bungalow which was right next to the sea.

There was no dedicated Bar, and the restaurant was away from the sea, so no sea breeze. Also too much honey bees and flies around the diners during food times! 🥺

Fantastic place for a relaxed stay at the Eastern coast of Zanzibar. The beachfront bungalow was perfect for us. The outdoor bathroom including toilet and shower was special! The place has some of the nicest staff I have ever had at any hotel around the world. So much caring, taking responsibility and personal commitment to making our stay better was amazing. Given that on the East coast the tides are significant, the pool was highly appreciated. The place is secure and located at the quieter part of the Eastern coast - we were walking along the beach even at night and never felt threatened or unsafe. There are beachfront restaurants and places for a cold beer up and down the beach. The food at this hotel was really really good - local dishes and daily changing menu was offered. Cocktails, wines and other drinks were served wherever you wanted to have them, bungalow, beach, pool or lounge... And really - the staff was amazing! THANK YOU ALL INDIGO BEACH TEAM!! You made our 3-week vacation special!

Nothing, really! Maybe that we finally had to leave this place, but this is hardly to blame on the hotel :-)

From the very check in to the check out, Indigo was absolutely excellent. Omar but also rest of the crowd were great. Very nice, polite and kind staff. Very caring about the guests, always ready to help. Food both for breakfast and a la carte dinner was great quality and reasonably priced. Location is directly on the beach so you can walk from the place all the way to Paje. Village ''access road'' isn't the most appealing but we walked it multiple time towards the main road from where we catched both taxi and dala dala bus to experience this as well. Bungalow was super clean, we liked the outside shower and bathroom, view from the bungalow, big lounge/chilling area! Whole complex is very private, maybe 30 guests in total max so we felt very safe and exclusive. We had feeling we almost knew all each other. Value for money is really great and if ever on Zanzibar again, Indigo would be choice number 1 for sure. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Only thing that I would improve would be some kind of the curtains on the ground floor of bungalow so you could have little bit more of privacy, but we didn't care so much.

Indigo Beach Zanzibar exceeded our expectations as the ultimate destination for our honeymoon in Tanzania, specifically Zanzibar. Choosing this resort was undoubtedly the best decision we made. The villa itself was nothing short of breathtaking, with its picturesque ocean views, warm gentle breeze, and the added luxury of an outdoor shower. Impeccably clean, the villa seamlessly blended African-style elements with modern comforts, creating a truly unique and memorable experience. The standout feature of our stay was the exceptional staff. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, constantly checking in on us and ensuring our every need was met. Their genuine warmth made us feel right at home, and their willingness to assist with any inquiries or concerns was truly remarkable. We couldn't have asked for better service. The culinary experience at Indigo Beach Zanzibar was equally delightful. The food served was incredibly tasty and satisfying, with a wide range of options available for both lunch and dinner. What impressed us further was the reasonable pricing of the meals and drinks, which added to the overall value of our stay. The resort's serene and private atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for a truly relaxing honeymoon. The tranquility and seclusion we experienced were unmatched, allowing us to fully unwind and appreciate the beauty of our surroundings. It was truly difficult to bid farewell to such a serene oasis. We sincerely hope to return to Indigo Beach Zanzibar in the future. It left an indelible mark on our hearts, making us yearn for another opportunity to relive the unforgettable memories we created there. P.S they have wishing tree ! 🥰 that we loved !

Nice location, with beautiful flowers and coconut tree. The pool is very small but nice, the staff very polite and friendly, everywhere is very clean. You feel safe with the masai. You do not have fridge in the room, which is clearly specified but they help you to keep some things in their fridge.

The bathroom from the budget rooms is a little bit strange. The area there in Bwejuu is not so nice, but it’s close to Paje. Breakfast is good but not so many options, especially for children. Maybe some more sun beds near the pool would be necesary and charger adapter would be appreciated.

This property is a paradise for any beach lovers. We had one of our best times here .. It was so clean, so well maintained and extremely lovely staff. If you look for a staycation and have a relaxed stay with an amazing view, think no further, Indigo is the only choice.. This would be on my recommendation for any couples or family who wanna have a quality time together.. This is a place we will go back again ..

Ten steps to the beach. Relaxing. Away from turistic areas. Nice pool. Fine bungalow.

You can only swim at high tide +/- two hours. Nothing to do in the area but to relax. Very poor people living around the hotel, but I guess thats all over the island. Everything extra is too expensive.

The staff and the quality of the facilities make it a highly recommended vacation destination. We have no negative comments to make, everything went very well and we had an extremely pleasant stay. The hotel can organize various excursions and activities as well as transportation to/from Stonetown.

The place is very private and well managed. There are many palm trees and other vegetation around that makes it even nicer. Direct access to the ocean, great atmosphere and scenery. The best part of all was the kind and friendly staff that made our stay super pleasant and safe. I highly recommend!

Maybe the rooms we stayed can be a bit improved, but it was all good in any way!

Right on the beach, you can stay barefoot all day! The villas are spacious and the food is good. I like that there is coffee and tea available all day. A great place to relax.

Being a boutique place the food is a set menu with about 3 options for each course and while it was good food, for kids it was a little limited. Just be sure to let them know beforehand though and they can accommodate or to supplement you can take a stroll down the beach 10 mins to African Paradise Restaurant which has some excellent food and cocktails!
