I was only expect a comfortable enough place to stay for a night. My destination was the pier to Koh Samed. However, the hotel left an over-expected impression and I will stay there again when I want to relax. Privacy - the rooms were scattered around the property and are accessible through walkways that are 'lined' with almost 2m height of bush. So, you don't see your neighbors, at-all. It was the level of privacy I didn't expect from this room rate. Impressed. Spaciousness - the layout in the room is simple yet interesting. You have a lot of space in the bedroom area and also a semi walk-in closet kind of feeling in the bathroom hall. There was also a kind of daybed that wasn't that comfortable but good enough to chill while binge watching stuff on your phone. Location - if you're looking to hop on the boat to Koh Samed the next day or just come back from the island, this is a very good place to stop by. It is located on a quiet beach road lined with pine trees. The hotel itself is enough for a few-day trip. Staffs - I went exactly when the second COVID wave broke out in Rayong and was probably the only guest. The staffs were all masked up and concerned about my safety.

Only one thing, how breakfast was served. I don't know how it is without the pandemic but mine was served at my room by the staff in mask. You choose your time and they will deliver at your door. But it wasn't covered in cling film or anything. It's not entirely a big deal but more attention would be appreciate during peak COVID season. And, a hammock for rooms with enough trees to tie on would be nice :)

Das Resort liegt direkt am strand, man muß nur die wenig befahrene Straße überqueren. Ich empfehle fie etwas größeren Zimmer, speziell wenn man mit Kindern unterwegs ist.

Es gibt keinen Schrank im Zimmer und der Kühlschrank ist sehr klein. Man bringt nicht einmal eine Paket Eiswürfel im Gefrierbereich unter.

I checked into my room late and checked out early the next morning. Everything was OK except for the two things that I mention elsewhere. (I did not have breakfast there.)

1. The cabins have no identifying numbers on the door or anywhere else. I was given a key to "B1" and was told that it is "in the back" but there was no "B1" written on my unit. Nor were there any identifying numbers on any other unit that I saw. I asked two staff members about this, and each confirmed that there were no numbers anywhere. I would like to know why. Why does every other hotel provide a number on the door, but not Banyon Resort? Are we supposed to try our key in each door until we find the right one? 2. Inside the cabin, all tables are very small and only about 15 centimeters high. I had a suitcase and there was no place to put it except for on the bed.

Location is convenient. Very green surroundings. Nice beach nearby. Very quiet.

Mosquitoes....but I guess it depends a bit on the time of visit.

Good location opposite the beach and many small Thai restaurants within easy walking distance. Quiet bungalows set back from the beach road. Good parking facilities. Small room but everything you would need for a comfortable short stay. Excellent value for money!

I had a lovely cooked breakfast each morning on my terrace. The rooms were large and comfortable. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The bike rental was a bonus as I got to explore Ban Phe for the day.

Beautiful enviroment, close to beach and ferry to koh samet, extremely wonderful staff, nice breakfast delivered to room each day. Peaceful, quiet, convenient everything.

The staff was great to assist me !
