Great location, very friendly staff, good food, excellent service, lovely 50m pool overlooking the water.

Some of it was under construction - although we were offered significant compensation and it didn’t interfere with the stay. You can’t swim in the beach by the property due to the rocks - but there’s a good beach a 10 minute walk from the property and it was lovely having the sea views, swings over the water and the sound of the waves crashing

We stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows. The location, the bungolow itself and the overall apperance of the hotel complex was very appealing. The staff was always friendly and we really enjoyed the tranquility during our stay. Having a sundowner on one of the swings was priceless.

The Hotel sees itself as one of the high end resorts on Koh Chang and therefore the room prices are quite high as well. To fit the bill, from my point of view some corrections / adjustments have to be made. - the wooden decks in some areas have to be repaired / replaced (sharp edges / rotten boards) - shower basin / sink was not properly oriented (shower water was always gathering in one corner of the basin) - breakfast was very poor / same variant of eggs every day / other than eggs not many alternatives / even the varaity of fruit was very much limited. A thing that i can not understand on a tropical island like Koh Chang

I loved the area and the chalet layout well equipped with amenities/facilities (A/C, ceiling fan, fridge), a spacious bathroom with bath thub and a shower. The bed was comfortable and the view was towards the sea, so pleasant to wake up and relax on the porch, too. Access to 2 swimming pools and plenty of sunbeds available. It felt secluded, private and relaxing. The wooden pathways were so beautiful that we took so many pictures of. There is a free kayak from 10am to 5pm and during high tide only. The breakfast was delicious, with eggs cooked to order, fresh fruits, fresh salad items and selection of bakery with a beautiful view over the resort. Every member of the staff I interacted with was friendly, polite and professional and ensured we had a wonderful stay.

The beach was beautiful, however it's a mission to get into the water beacause of the edgy rocks. It didn't spoil our stay though as pools were available and there is a sandy beach 10 min walk from the resort as an alternative.

Beautiful resort! Cute wooden houses surrounded by trees and nature. Everything was very handy, nice swimming pool, chairs and umbrellas available near the entrance to the beach and a restaurant offering drinks and local food. The breakfast was very good with a lot choice, selection of fruits and veg, eggs, breads and pastries etc. The staff was amazing, friendly and very helpful with organising what’s needed. The location is perfect, just off the main road with a lot of restaurants, massage shops, little souvenirs shops and cafes.

Absolutely nothing to complain about

Bungalows are very clean and comfortable. Garden and pool are exceptionally nice. Staff is extremely friendly, they make you feel very welcome. We only had included breakfast, but as a compensation for renovation works we also had free lunch and dinner. Quality of the food is very high.

Airconditioning was a bit noisy. There is direct beach access, but not so much atmosphere. The beach bar was also closed for renovation, I think in the high season when its open it will be different.

The resort is amazing, the staff is great. We especially liked that there was two pools, so it was easily available to get a spot at the pool. We had a great breakfast buffet, with make to order eggs. We stayed in the most cozy private cabin. The beds are very comfortable and the room is clean. We even had a little couch we could sit in, instead of having to be sitting on the bed all the time.. Nice and spacious! The location is central, with a slice of beach, directly accessed from the hotel. There's several restaurants nearby in walking distance

The pools were amazing, huge adult only pool. Loads of space and loungers. Beach, although a bit rocky, was lovely and quiet. The landscape inside the resort is stunning and exotic. Bed was huge and really comfy. We asked for different pillows which were a great improvement. Enormous bathroom. Cleaners were great and very generous with towels. Majority of the staff were great, especially Si in the restaurant. Vegetarian options in restaurant good.

The breakfast was completely average with no fresh juices. At the start of the holiday we were offered a vegetarian option, tea and egg station choice but by the end of the holiday, when it was mainly trainees in the breakfast room, we were basically ignored. Quite a lot of general maintenance needed in resort.

Where to start? The Gajapuri is simply wonderful, if you’re thinking about booking, take this as a sign to do so. I was looking for something earthy and tropical and traditional but with a side of luxury and romantic. I got all of this and more. The bungalows are enormous and clean and very rustic, you feel like you are in the middle of a jungle even though you’re a minute walk from your room to the beach. Two lovely pools, a restaurant and bar directly on the beach. I was nervous that the beach was small after reading other reviews, it is a little narrow but very long so always enough space to lie on the sand next to the ocean. There is a great restaurant and bar next door that you can walk along the beach to get to. Dozens and dozens of bars and restaurants immediately outside the hotel that you can walk to. So much going on around it and yet I can’t stress enough how very quiet and secluded the resort feels. Breakfast is delicious with a great variety of juices, fruits, jams, breads, pastries, yoghurt, cereal, cheese, sausage, bacon, and all the different kind of eggs/omelettes you could order. The coffee machine is excellent The staff were so kind and welcoming and truly made the trip so special. I can’t thank them enough for their incredible service, always smiling and polite and helpful. There are complimentary kayaks and paddles boards on the beach that you can take out at any time and there is a little island not far from the beach that you can kayak out to. You can also book a massage on the beach should you choose. There is no naff music pumped out, it’s quiet and peaceful and very classy without losing its island getaway feel. Our experience at the Gajapuri was truly magical and we can’t wait to return here next year!

Lovely little beach. Room really nice and very clean although like the rest of the resort could do with some maintenance (eg pool tiles, some holes in the wooden walls and floor of bungalow, windows didnt lock properly, curtain hanging off a bit and let light in). Bed was really comfortable and gardens were beautiful. Plenty of sunbeds but some hammocks would be welcome. Good breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.

We were about half way to the beach but the noise from local bars kept me awake. Not much the resort can do about this but it was a problem for me. The toilets by the pool were a bit smelly. I think the floors need mopping more often. The pools were too hot - again not a lot that can be done but if there were more shade near them they would be cooler.
