- Atmosphere. Very calm and relaxing atmosphere in the hotel and in the area in general. The nearby neighbourhood is like a little quiet village that we really like. Far enough from the main road (3 min by bike). - Room. We upgraded initial Deluxe bungalow (looked small) to Grand Deluxe and it was great stay. The bungalow is very spacious - very comfy bed, nice linens; desk to work on a computer, big wardrobe, large bathroom with hot well-pressure shower. Big terrace well-covered from the sun - so you can have a breakfast or work on the laptop and it will be not hot. Air con is good shape too. - Breakfast. We like the breakfast - basic but enough of everything, slightly different everyday (choice of fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, eggs, rice, sausages, veggies, toasts, pancakes, cookies). - Beach. The beach is great, lots of spaces for everyone under the palm trees. Its is a long beach - you can walk to the China Town to the right or to the pier to the left. Overall great stay - would definitely recommend to everyone who likes calm and relaxing place.

Would just advise to refresh the towels - but its minor thing.

We liked this hotel, and if we are on Samui one day again we will stay there. Although it was located a bit far from all the entertainments we liked the location as we could sleep well and not listen to the sounds of roads or music. The personal was very hospitable and supportive. Our bungalow was relatively old and small (22 m2) but clean with snow-white sheets and nice smelling towels that were regularly changed. The sand beach was in 20 meters from the entrance of our bungalow. It was clean with no stones when you come in the sea. There were always just a few people on the beach or just us, so we enjoyed the sounds of the sea. The internet connection was relatively good, even on the beach. The breakfast was good, and it was also possible to have a lunch or dinner in the hotel´s restaurant, which was not expensive at all. We also fould it very helpful to have an opportunity to rent a scooter at the hotel and travel around the island. The rental cost was just added to our final bill, so we did not need to deal with any formalities of rental companies.

We stayed in the standard bungalow and it was great. Cozy rooms, clean, nice balcony. Before arriving I requested to have a beach view and they gave us a room on the beach. It was one of my favourite places so far. The pool is nice. The restaurant serves great food and cheap drinks. The breakfast included was wonderful.

The only downside to this place was the beach being slightly dirty. We still swam in the water and it was nice but when there is windy days there seems to be more garbage along the beach.

Super engagement by all the team, who are proactive with a 'can-do' approach. Especially those working in the restaurant who were cheerful, funny and highly efficient. Special mention for their boss who leads her team perfectly and ensures nobody is stressed no matter what happens. Our bungalow was perfect, in size - facilities, and we had a partial view of the beach. A good strong shower, fridge and effective air-con. We loved sitting on the balcony, but being right beside the beach and well away from the noise of the road made this a perfect haven to relax. Shangrilah has a real community feel and we are seriously looking at coming back 2024 for a few months.

There are lots of WIFI options but we both had brought some work with us and found the signal not consistent no matter whether we were in our bungalow or the public areas... we had to keep toggling between networks to maintain our connection. This was a particular problem for me as I had several important video conferences to attend.

The best place on busy Koh Samui: A wonderful oasis with a great location, sunrise views, delicious food, amazingly helpful and sweet staff and so comfortable bungalows! We absolutely loved our stay there again.

Only the weather.

For a 2 star hotel it was exceptional, we stayed in a deluxe bungalow which was very bright and spotlessly clean, we wanted a quiet place to stay and this was very much so Simple breakfast but fully acceptable, all the staff were friendly and always smiling. Some of the sunloungers looked past their best and there wasn't a lot of shade but the beach and palm trees more than made up for that. If you wanted a drop and flop holiday you couldn't have asked for more. Restaurants along the beach in both directions and 7/11 10 minutes pleasant walk through the local neighbourhood. Would recommend and would return.

Nothing, only niggle was the pillows were very high so made my neck ache but that is a personal preference for a flat pillow

Loved loved loved the location.We had a bungalow riggt on the beach.Thai massage available at a very good price a stones throw from us and the pool and restaurant were a few steps away.. The bungalows are basic but very clean and have everything you need,.Water is supplied every day in the room. The pool was a good size with lots of sun loungers available Beach towels also available from reception. Mainly famalies and couples stayed, but peaceful atmosphere.Very relaxed and laid back. The restaurant was clean and had an extensi e menu with lots of desserts, coing drinks and ice creams! The icing on the cake was the hotels service. The staff were wonderful Everyone always polite and respectful and eager to help. What a beautiful place. Very quiet as not every bungolow was occupied,but I liked it like that.The beach was long sandy and palm tree ladened and almost empty.The water warm and calm. I would definitely go back.

Nothing It has everything you need and the people there make it a blessing

Amazing place in a calm area of Samui, right on the beach. Ideal place to enjoy the beach days, with palm trees providing shade all day and great spot for relaxing in your own hammock. Our room was very spacious, bed extremely comfortable. Everything clean and with on demand housekeeping every day. Breakfast was very tasty with different options and some daily changes to the offer. It is easy to book a taxi via apps or reception or get around on your own. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Proximity to the pier for Lomprayah ferry to get to other islands. Amazing authentic restaurant Baan Tanai just 5 minutes walking from the hotel. We extended our stay and would come back in the future!
