Naga Tara was the best hotel experience we had on our journey through Northern Thailand. We spent two nights in the villa. The location and garden right on the shore of the lake is just lovely. The rooms are spacious and clean. The owner seems to look after the resort very well. The staff is exceptionally friendly. We had a wonderful breakfast. I travel a lot and never write recommendations, but this time I really wanted to.

The location is a bit outside of the city and you need transportation. The staff is very helpful, so not a big problem.

beautiful resort on the lake, with comfortable beds in spacious rooms. staff was friendly and helpful— most especially the manager, Ake. He tried very hard to make sure we had everything we needed. We were in one of the luxury villas around the pool … it was perfect except for the fact that the only curtains covering the big glass sliding doors were (wonderful) heavy blackout curtains. If you wanted any kind of privacy during the day (or night) these curtains had to be closed …. or you and your neighbour across the pool were able to see everything in the entire room! lovely bathrooms and decent breakfast, and it was nice to have the bikes for a ride. The pool and the view of sunset over the lake were both fabulous. Quiet and peaceful but not far from good restaurants!

There was a nice breakfast buffet and a manned omelet station. Nice people. The room was modern - bare concrete and pipes, like a hipster cafe. Spacious. Walk through the garden (50m or so) to a lawn and bamboo platform overlooking the lake. Quiet room. If the restaurant is closed there are a few other places to eat 5-10 minutes walk away. Off road parking for a motorcyle.

The view out of the room onto the poly tunnel greenhouses. The more expensive rooms look out onto a swimming pool. I don’t think any rooms look out over the lake.

Beautiful place loved the lake and watching the sunset. Really helpful and attentive staff. We were in the lake view villa which is lovely. Good bed and spacious room. Really good breakfast.

The location is really good and would definitely recommend, would have stayed a night longer if I had the time. However small negative point is that the pool is not heated but it’s okay to swim in it for a bit. The bathtub is really small, I’m 1.62m and just fitted in. There is no shower curtain and it’s not possible to hang the showerhead to the wall which is a bit inconvenient.

Great staff. Ake on reception was so helpful-organised taxi for sunrise day trip to Phu Lanka. Always friendly and wanting to help with anything. Very professional and really wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. Great location overlooking lake- we upgraded to lake view but pool view good. all the staff very friendly and kept everything clean room, pool terraces. Rustic feel as not modern but great rooms beds and air con.

It’s by the lake side ,fantastic view in the morning the cloud rise above the water and under the mountain top.

The wall is quite thin you can here the next door even when they walk you can feel the vibration . Lighting is lacking , only illuminate ceiling light . one bedside light ,at least would be appreciated

the breakfast was fantastic,even though one day there wasn’t much variety due to the lack of guests. the swimming pool and the garden were great,most of the days just for us. Friendly and attentive staff

it is one of the most beautiful places in Thailand. The hotel is situated at the lakeside and You can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunset. The rooms are nice, extremly clean and so You can also live with the thin walls between the rooms. (We had only once noisy Chinese neighbours). The breakfast is delicious and the location is great. We didn’t have a car, but with the free bikes we could reach all the places and we made a wonderful trip around the lake. Bow, the receptionist, gave us a free ride to the bus terminal. What a wonderful hospitality!

Nice location. Lovely pool (with Duck) - backs onto the lake/river. Nice peaceful place. We stayed in a large room around the pool. Are kids stayed also in another room around the pool. Room was large and lux. Pool was a great place to cool off. Location next to river is peaceful.

Its a bit far from eating places. We drove to eat and drink in the end. Breakfast is a Thai experience.

Very nice located hotel, directly at a lake with a beautiful sunset behind the mountains. The lake view bungalow was nicely furnished. Bathroom with a tiny bathtub. The breakfast provided the basic needs at a nice place. Parking is available on the property. Stuff was very friendly.

I would stay there again, but, for us, the mattress is much to hard. We had back pain after the night.
