The area of Phuket is very large and hard to pick a location to stay. We wanted to stay closer to where our friends live, unfortunately it was still 30 minutes away, the traffic to get around anywhere in Phuket is horrible. The hotel is great, we stayed in our own private cottage near the pool and beach. The room was divided into 2 sections where there a large bed and the lower sunken part had the bed for our child. The place had lots of storage space, and the washrooms were good. The pool is very lovely. They have two pools - one pool for the people who stay in the main hotel area and one of the people who are staying in the private cottage and its large and wonderful. The beach is a disappointing as its not the hotel's fault but the tide goes out in Phuket in the morning so depending where you stay - you wont have a swimmable beach at the hotel unless you travel to a beach during the day for swim. The water slowly comes in the late afternoon.. its fun for us to walk on it and collect shells etc. Its closer to the Pier but not walkable as the traffic is horrible so you'll need a tuk-tuk or taxi to get to the main pier. Everything else in the Phuket you must take a tuk-tuk or taxi as everything is a distance away. We had dinner one night, unfortunately there is not much variety in the dinner menu. The breakfast is good. Next time I will stay in the old Phuket town which is really pretty like Singapore old town, totally a cool place to walk around.

Dinner is good for one night but otherwise lack of choice for two nights.

We had a great stay at Aochalong villa resort. The hotel is in beautiful grounds which are really well maintained. The hotel has two pools, both of which are great. One directly overlooks Chalong bay, is deeper, and gets lots of sunshine. The other is surrounded by beautiful trees which provide shade when it's very hot. This pool is not so deep and has a water slide for children. Breakfast is served in a restaurant overlooking the pool and Chalong bay. It is a buffet style breakfast and all the food was really fresh and regularly re-stocked by the attentive staff. As we were leaving early (before breakfast) they even made us packed breakfasts to take with us. The staff at the hotel were really friendly, polite and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely recommend staying ay Aochalong villa resort.

Our stay was perfect.

Beautiful garden pools and villas. Very clean , the staff exceptionally helpful and good. The airconditioning broke once, they fixed it immiediately. Very good food, good chefs, attentive waiters. Even the guest were nice. There is a free shuttle to KATA beach 3 times a week.

The tide was very strong so the water disappeared from time to time, you could not use the beach then, so good that they have the beach shuttle.

It had been low season for tourism for some time due to the pandemic, and we arrived just after the entry restrictions had been relaxed. Nevertheless the hotel did not cut back on their high standards and quality. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. They always did their best to provide good service and food at the restaurant. The pools were well maintained and the room service was excellent. If only all hotels were managed this way!

The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to accomodate any wishes. The food in their little restaurant/cafe was great and reasonably priced. The pool areas and all in all the whole resort is very cozy. It shows some signs of aging but is very well maintained. It's also a great place if you want to go diving or island hopping with lot's of diving schools close-by as well as Chalong Pier (around 1.5km away)

Nothing the resort is at fault for but some guests were incredibly rude and loud, partying in their rooms late at night. They definitely chose the wrong location for that. Also not really a downside if you like to relax, but there is not that much to do in the area. So best to rent a scooter or use bolt or grab if you want to go somewhere. :-)

Beautiful location right on the water in Chalong bay. Very peaceful and quiet area. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Free tuktuk to the main road on request (only 700 metres) and very good prices for taxis if you want to go further. Rooms are large and comfortable. The bed was the standard Thai style slab of concrete but they have a thick mattress topper to make it a bit nicer.

The menu could use a makeover - while the food was good it was limited. I would have liked to have seen a wider variety of Thai dishes.

Very good price-quality ratio. Very nice location with two swimming pools (one with jacuzzi) under the trees, with a nice view on Chalong Bay. Nice and clean rooms with air conditioning, breakfast was ok. Restaurant was nice with inside and outside tables with view on the pool and the sea. Possibility to book yoga classes and massages. Perfect for those coming to Phuket for diving/snorkeling departing from Chalong Bay

The only drawback is the location, is relatively far (20-30 min walking) from main attractions of Chalong Bay and far from the main beaches. May need taxi or motorbike to move around Phuket.

Beautiful resort with kind and helpful personnel. Food from the restaurant was great and we had a fabulous time during our stay in Phuket. While the hotel is a bit removed from the usual tourist spots or beaches, it made for a quieter stay which we tremendously enjoyed. The price/quality ratio is incredible and we are definitely thinking of coming back.

The room we booked was advertised as having a partial sea view and we can't say that was the case. Other villas better located definetly had it, but ours was a bit further back and the view really could not be considered as partial sea view. Now, it is a very small complaint as everything else was great and, in general, the quality of this hotel exceeded our expectations for the price we paid.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. great value, 2 beautiful pools. the staff were very friendly around the hotel and if you need help they were always willing to help. The pool by the beach has little shade compared to the pool behind reception. the Little beach area is perfectly small and feels very much like a private beach even if it isn't. the water is very shallow at the beach 30 meters of knee high water from the shore if not more. This hotel is in a quiet area of Phuket perfect if you want to relax in comfort.

The choice of fruit could do with a bit more choices. every morning it was watermelon and pineapple. if they another choice of fruit like mango, dragon fruit or another would have been great. otherwise everything else was more than adequate.
