We loved everything about this place. Namaste is a small & cozy resort close to a beautiful long beach (really close, like 1 min. walk!). Spacious room with all necessary facilities in place, big window & nice view. Very welcoming owners and staff. Delicious breakfasts both types european and thai. It's a small village easily accessible from Bangkok, with a few restaurants & bars, without noisy clubs etc., perfect for chilling. With Michel & Poon's help and for a reasonable price we visited a couple of interesting places in the neighborhood, such as Phraya Nakhon cave, Bueng Bua lake and a Pran Buri mangrove forest. Worth mentioning that there is no currency exchange point in the village, so if you're taking EUR or USD cash with you, you should change money before arriving to Sam Roi Yot. Bear in mind that in Thailand it's almost impossible to change money without passport (picture of a passport or any kind of electronic ID is just not enough). Also, you can't pay with your Visa or Mastercard there, cash only. Anyway, there is an ATM next to the Namaste Resort, just in case.

It’s been just a great stay. The little resort has a very friendly and welcoming vibe which is mostly (but not only) because of the wonderful hospitality of the owners, Poon and Michel, and their lovely assistant, Kan. They took care of us so well, it really felt more like a family stay, without being „too much“ in any way. Tours and further tips are great (if you can, go to the Bueng Bua/Sea of Lotus in the late afternoon - amazing!). Rooms are perfectly clean, nicely furnitured and well equipped. Scooter rental easily possible. We would come back any time!

Lovely resort near the Sam Roi Yot Beach! Owners were super-communicative and helpful and provided a lot of information, including great instructions on how to get to them from Bangkok, because we had a foolish idea to travel by train and that is a headache in Thailand. We took a van that took 6 hours and delivered us at the front door. Accommodation was as advertised - room was spacious and clean, with a patio in front, beach was literally behind the corner, Wi-Fi was fast and reliable - I only have good things to say. We rented a bike from Michel and Poon and got around both biking and walking- there is actually a lot to see in this area. Great place - hope to come back!

The Namaste resort is a little gem. Firstly the location is outstanding just 30m from a beautiful beach. The owners Michel and Poon were extremely helpful both prior to and throughout our 2 night stay. The cooked breakfast was awesome. The room we stayed in was very nice with a very comfortable bed. There was an air con and a fan in the room plus a fridge and free water. We would definitely stay here again and would also highly recommend it as a getaway resort in the Sam Roi Yot national Park. Make sure that you visit the Phraya Nakhon Cave and the Beaung Bua lake while you are there

Michel and Poon are very kind and customerfriendly hosts who are always ready to help you, give you tips about where to go (with a very exhaustive pdf with all the practicle informatie!). The village is very calm right next to the ocean. They have a good bed with silent airco and thick curtains that block out the sun. You can also rent a scooter there. And if you ask they can come pick you up and drop you off at your next point of departure. The hotel also had nice colors. We were very happy here and it was nice to have a real host to talk to. The bueng bua swamp is really worth the time!

The people who run Namaste are warm and always trying to help you. The rooms have everything you need and they are clean. The breakfast is fantastic and the beach is just some steps away. We definitely want to come back. So far one of our best experiences because of the human contact. We felt like being at home. Actually during the birthday of our daughter they surprised us with a cake for her. Where do you get this ? I wish they would be more places like Namaste.

For those who need some peace and quiet time, this is the perfect spot. Away from the big city, quite a few things to see. The owners helped us a lot, because it was not easy to get there (away from the beaten tourist path)

To see the sights the easiest way is to rent a scooter or car, taxis are a no show, no grab or bolt in the area. If You travel from Phuket, the only way is by train via Surat Thani or bus via Hua Hin, and then by bolt (but be ready to pay extra)

Great location and hosts were most helpful. Breakfasts were superb, Thai or continental. Have stayed at pricier and bigger hotels with no attention to customers needs. Small is beautiful as they say. Fantastic value, would definately go back.

Beds were a little hard for my partner. Didn't bother me. Only a minor detail and hardly a fault.

An absolute pleasure staying at Namaste Resort, I had a wonderful time. Michel and Poon are so lovely, welcoming and accommodating. They really make you feel at home and go above and beyond to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are spacious, clean and very well maintained. The hotel itself is a stone’s throw from the beach and has amazingly calm, warm water. Plenty of places to eat and drink on the main road (which Namaste is not on and therefore remains very quiet) and the breakfast served up by Poon was delicious. A wonderful place hosted by wonderful people.

Some may miss not having a pool but when the beach is this close, you really don’t need it.
