We loved the cleanliness, the smell inside the hallway and inside the rooms was amazing! You can view Istanbul from the terrace. Friendly and talkative staff acquainted us and made our staying here as if we were at home. Although on Fridays the area is a little crowded, you can have very good meals at affordable prices at the local, family owned, small restaurants. Search for the by walking, not necessarily by looking for them online (they don't appear online...) The staff helped us with our heavy luggage

Staff were friendly and helpful. They offer airport transfers. Good communication leading up to our stay. The room had air conditioning and lots of windows with blockout blinds. While the room is small, it has all you need for a short stay in Istanbul. Great shower head and water pressure with hot water, which was a huge bonus.

There was a lot of black mould in the shower. The fan and the air conditioner rattled loudly and the walls were thin (we could hear other peoples alarms in the morning) - but all of this was overshadowed by the very reasonable price and convenience of location.

I liked the cleanliness, location (far away from the main street which is busy and noisy), and value for money.

It can be fully booked during peak tourist season so I was unable to check in early due to my flight arrival time at 5am in the morning. However this was no problem as the staff allowed me to store my bags at the reception.

Location is actually really good too, except the shortest way to some of the main attractions is through a very steep upward street. A good condition is recommended!

-Bright white sheets, pillowcases, and towels. The rooms are spotless and dust-free. The cleaning lady deserves credit. She does an amazing job. -Coffee/tea-making possible in the room. Also, a refrigerator. -The hotel is located on a quiet side street, but just a couple minutes' walk to restaurants, shops, tram, metro and everything else you need. -Smooth check-in. The owner, who greets you on arrival, is attentive and really friendly. If you have heavy luggage, he will help you bring it up the stairs (b/c there is no elevator). He is former military so no problem! haha We had a nice conversation while I waited for the private van - which he arranged for me at a good price - to take me to the airport. -I asked for a quiet room and was given a top-floor room (4th floor) away from street noise. I would definitely come back here when I'm in Istanbul.

Not a big problem, but the bathroom (in the room I stayed...I don't know about the others) could use one of those mini electric-fan ventilators to ventilate 24/7 (moldy air from the drains appears to build up).

My stay at Hotel Orkide in Istanbul was fantastic. The hotel's location is perfect, just a 5-minute walk from the tram station and in the heart of the old city, close to the Indian Bazaar and the Grand Bazaar. Iconic landmarks like Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace were all within a 10-minute walk. The room was clean, with housekeeping provided every 4 days, and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Moreover, the staff was exceptionally kind and accommodating. Overall, I highly recommend Hotel Orkide for its convenient location, comfortable accommodations, and friendly staff.

Sometimes, the wifi was bad

I stayed 2 nights in a deluxe single room, on the 4th floor, room 403. - The staff is very friendly. They received my luggage at 5 in the morning, they helped me set up the Wi-Fi. The reception is non-stop and responds quickly to messages. They speak English good. - Very good cleaning, white bedding, white towels, slippers and shower items - Inside the room: good Wi-Fi internet, TV, minbar, wardrobe, a small desk with stool, wardrobe, air conditioning - The surface of my room is enough for one person - There is no superb view, but at least the windows are big and light enters - Kettle, tea bags, sugar, paper glasses - Withing the zone there are paid parking lots and many neighborhood shops. There is also a street with many small and cheap shops (clothes, shoes, bags, electronics, hairdresser, etc.) - counterfeit items. - There are many restaurants behind the hotel – a kind of “Old Town”

- Super loud noise generated by the general sanitary installation and from other neighbors - Strong wind noise coming from the roof - No mosquito net - The maintenance of the sanitary installations is poor (the sink flows on the floor, the toilet moves) - There is no elevator, and the staircase is very narrow. It's hard to get up with your luggage. - The neighborhood seems to be dangerous at night, due to abandoned buildings and streets without light

We recommend the Hotel, especially for family visits. They fulfilled our expectations, the ROOM was VERY CLEAN, the staff was very friendly, we had a coffee or tea maker, air conditioning that works perfectly, hair dryer, clean towels, slippers and bed linen and everything else that completed our pleasure in the hotel. The surroundings of the hotel do not seem so nice, but you can quickly get around and there is a tram, bus and metro nearby. The view from the window is on the Bosphorus, the surroundings are peaceful. Greetings to everyone from Hotel Orkide from us ❤️❤️❤️

Mr Furkan was very welcoming and made sure everything was attended to. He is very nice and made the stay awesome. The rooms were clean and if we needed anything, the staff would help us right away! Sometimes, the wifi can be a little slower than the usual but in general it performed OK. 10/10 would go again!

The windows in the room do not have very good isolation. Sometimes, we got a little cold but the heater in the room helps keep it warm. There are also prayers at 6 am which might surprise some travellers in the first days, but then you get used to it ;)

Roo m was clean and comfortable. We got room upgraded, tqvm . All room facilities were mentioned provided. Excellent wifi . Easy check in and check out . Helpful staff. Cafes,bakery and grocery shops are just nearby. Keep up the good work Hotel Orkide
