It’s the only hotel among the dozens I’ve stayed at throughout Turkey which was not contaminated by smoke. Everywhere else I’ve been, though rooms were theoretically non-smoking, the smoke still made its way in my room and it was so unpleasant to permanently breathe contaminated air, also because it’s not just guests smoking but also hotel owners and staff. During the five days I stayed at hotel Dost, I never felt any smoke in my room or on the balcony. Great variety for breakfast, including many vegetarian options. I especially loved the black and green olives prepared by the owner’s grandmother, the delicious pastries (peynirli sigara böreği) made every day by the hotel cooks, and the different preserves, especially the sour cherry one. The hotel is just a two-minute walk to the sea and surrounded by many restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. While Marmaris is a typical touristy seaside resort, there’re some gorgeous, wild places once you drive half hour outside town. Try hiking through the hills, mountains, and villages nearby: Hisarönü, Turgut, Selimiye, Bozburun, Sögüt, İçmeler, Osmaniye etc. Rocky terrain with such diverse vegetation: shrubs, weeds, herbs, flowers, many which I’ve never seen before. I even found wild thyme and trees full of green almonds! I met a bunch of quadrupeds too: a chunky tortoise, lizards, goats, horses, cats. You may even hear the cries of eagles while climbing...

Perfect location, between the beaches and the marina. A quiet area at the center of the city. Really nice staff, and the receptionist offered to take us on a tour. Good breakfast, cooked in front of you by the staff. We got a room upgrade and we were very satisfied with the accommodation we were given.

A few things here and there could be fixed to make the experience really perfect: eg. the rooms need minor repairing, having water bottles in the room (especially in summer would be a much appreciated plus), towel change at least every couple of days.

I just spent a week in Hotel Dost with my son. It was our first time to stay here but we will definitely be coming back. The staff were lovely to us and very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is made fresh every morning by 2 lovely ladies. Beautiful pancakes and omelettes, fresh fruit, numerous cheeses and salads. Hotel Dost is spotless clean at all times and always someone at reception to help at anytime. The hotels location is fantastic and central to everything, shops, beach etc.

is not far from the beach yet is in quite area, walking distance from the city center. the staff were super helpful and nice mainly the person who was there at the breakfast very caring and welcoming making sure that every guest is comfortable. very filling breakfast, spacious rooms I would say is a very good value for the money. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

We had issues with the bathroom, the door of the shower was not closing and it unfortunately broke during our stay I would say it was better to check the room before giving it to customers as it could have been worst but the problem was resolved easily and the staff handled it professionally.

the location is a boarding house, a family business, and the price-accommodation conditions relationship is correct. breakfast mostly the same, but sufficiently varied: eggs, 2 kinds of cheese, vegetables, 2 kinds of olives, 2 kinds of sausages, cheese, jams, butter, milk, tea, coffee, cereals, their cheese rolls and... top pancakes, every day. hospitable and helpful staff. he was a gentleman, New Jersey Boy.. English speaker, alert and very sociable, so the communication was also very good - 10++.

The hotel is very good value for money. The location and the facilities were great. Breakfast was really good too. But the best part was the staff, especially New Jersey Boy, who went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and checking in to see I arrived safely and had everything I needed as a solo traveler. If I come back to Marmaris, I will definitely be staying here again, no doubt.

It is really a great place! Unfortunately we've stayed there only for one night, but we enjoyed every moment of our stay! The personal is extremely kind and helpful! When you have questions, they do all the best to help you. They gave us a lot of good advises about the city. The hotel is situated very well, close to the sea and the center. The beds are comfortable, our room was big! The breakfast is really good and diverse! We would repeat the stay with pleasure!

The unique thing of staying at this hotel was, it gave us such a homely feeling. My son was sick and his leg skin was burnt due to some accident. Yet we attempted to go to marmaris and stayed in this hotel. And the staffs were concern about my son and even tried to provide me some medicine for him which reminds me of my mother doing the same for my kid. The location was superb and staying was comfortable. Highly recommended.

I don’t complain as I have come to know that a family actually runs this hotel by themselves. therefore, no complaints.

All staff were exceptionally kind, nice and friendly - special thanks to the happy Turkish New Jersey Breakfast waiter who is a gem - the breakfast cooks making superb omelettes to order and the housekeeping. The location is just perfect with supermarkets and good restaurants in same street - the beach is just two blocks away - the WIFI is great - Fridge in room (huge plus) and air con ( another huge plus) TV with English channels and music- my room had large balcony with table and chairs - Nice sized bathroom with shower - and I already booked my return in Sept. Highly recommended!

stool in room not good but I got a chair so all good in the end - balcony privacy could be an issue - wasn't for me as nice couple next door.

the property was absolutely perfect for our needs- it was super clean, the breakfast was authentic and delicious and every single staff member was incredible!!! they were super friendly, helpful and we spent time chatting to them all and would 100% return. the location was perfect right near the beach, supermarkets, hair salons and more- the hotel met all our needs!
