Lovely, spacious cave room with a great shower and hot tub. Staff was very helpful. I really wish I got the name of one member of staff in particular who was exceptional at his job and really made our stay better by helping us plan our day and setting us up with a wonderful taxi driver who showed us around all the main sites.

The location is a 15 min drive away from Goreme, where, we found out, all the action is happening. While the restaurant was good, breakfast was bafflingly poor.

We got a free upgrade to an executive room which was huge with a big and deep tub - didn't have time to use it. The fact its a cave hotel adds to the charm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Betty, with whom I had been in touch to organise some tours was very helpful with facts and honest opinions. The hotel has a cafe and restaurant so you'll never be thirsty or hungry. The spa is free to use to hotel guests with a surprise Turkish Spa included - we loved using those facilities. Massages are extra, again we didn't use. Betty helped book a private tour which was a mix of the green and red tour as we had just one day and it was lovely. Her friend Irem who is also an approved tourist guide was very friendly and informative and we gained a lot of knowledge of all the places we visited because of her. Betty also helped organise a Whirling Dervish and Turkish Night tour with a taxi and suggested a lovely place for Turkish Dinner. She said guests' reviews of dinner at the Turkish Night wasn't great so we had dinner elsewhere. On the whole, our stay our Utopia was very comfortable and pleasant. Their breakfast had good Turkish choices too.

The exec room could have been better lit - it was dark with faint lighting. We had to pay for airport public shuttle one way - given the cost of hotel rooms and that we were staying there for 3 nights, it would've helped to have free airport shuttle both ways. It was 20Euros per person and we were three of us. The cost of hot air balloon rides was quoted as 300/350 euros pp if the hotel booked it for us. We booked it cheap downtown for 180 euros pp

Utopia was amazing with their hosting. I had a long flight and I arrived being tired, sleep deprived and hungry. Betty at the reception was super kind/ thoughtful to offer me free breakfast before I headed to my room even though it wasn’t included for that day. Some other guy at the reception gave me a great restaurant’s recommendation to enjoy my dinner at the next day… and I also made friend’s with another girl at the reception named Rain.. she was a sweetheart too! Everyone at the reception were super friendly, kind and accommodating. More than the hotel it’s the people who made this place lovely to be at!

The room was brilliantly designed…but the stylish lighting was so dim we could not easily see to read. The layout of the hotel was excellent with lots of lovely spots to sit, drink and relax

The restaurant food was very good. But the staff seemed disorganised, and not always showing initiative. One person said there was no food at the outside bar…another brought us menu! Service in the bars was slow. Often we had to wait for someone to pay the bill. It was not clear what was open at what times..certainly not displayed anywhere. How could a bar runout of Effes? And no Turkish substitute be offered? Lots of staff trading needed to make this a 5 star location.

The hotel is very beautiful and the sultan sweet is incredible. With a 2m bed, spa bathtub and even a hamam in out bathroom! Never seen anything like that before. The restaurant had much better food than we have seen throughout kapadokya including another hotel we stayed at previously. Particularly all the places to lounge and relax are plentiful, comfortable and beautiful with nice views. The highlight was definitely the service offered by a staff member there called Hüseyin! He made this stay far better than it would have been without him. Any issues or requests we had were very quickly dealt with. He was very friendly and easy to understand with amazing English ( best we have heard the entire time from any staff or service in kapadokya). He definitely offered world class customer service.

All the rest of the staff apart from Hüseyin didnt speak almost any English which made it very difficult to communicate which is a huge shame because the hotel is great. On the last day of the stay there was a massive thunderstorm with very heavy rain and due to the nature of the way some of the rooms were built water was leaking through the fireplace and some venting holes above the bathtub. The amount of water coming through the chimney in my opinion is a big problem and it was eventually going on the parquet which could lead to rot or mold in the future and I can't imagine this is their first ever storm. This should have been fixed a long time ago

A well located hotel in quiet Urgup but close enough to Goreme (10min taxi). We have enjoyed our stay, the facilities are great-amazing spa with reasonable prices and high standard. There’s a lovely terrace with great views.

The breakfast could have been higher quality- it’s not bad by any means but perhaps fresh juice, proper coffee and a fresh eggs section would have helped. There is shisha available in the restaurant but it’s not allowed on the roof top terrace which is odd as that’s where the views and comfy seating is.

We liked the room (403) in the cave with private jacuzzi. We liked bartender Batuhan. He helped us to select a wine and had a small talk. The room was clean and large The spa was good. No reservation needed when we stayed (February). Steam Room, sauna, Turkish bath are for free. The massage needs reservation and payment. Breakfast is served on the terrace with a good view. It is self-service buffet. You can ask for Turkish coffee + there is a place to take hot crepes

The staff badly speaks English :) you ask one thing and they explain another. It is funny but not useful

We had a great time! Betty is wonderful and helped us arrange all of our activities! The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was FANTASTIC. We ate in the restaurant every night, and never got tired of the food. It was delicious.

The Wifi didn't work in the room. But I guess that's to be expected when you're in a cave. :-)

We liked the fact that it was close to town and encaptured the essence of the cappadocian charm in a well executed setting that wasn't trying too hard to impress and yet had all the high quality and luxurious rooms and facilities that would make you want to stay for extended periods of time. The service was prompt and efficient and a free upgrade on our last night was appreciated. It was also cool to have some of the natural sights surrounding the property such as fairy chimneys and a cool viewpoint area.

very well designed. beautiful 😻 the staff is helpful especially the manager Hüseyin. we enjoyed the spa and swimming pool. the restaurant has a nice view. they have terrace with comfortable seating. their Shisha is must try! calming music playing everywhere just makes you feel relax. The room contains everything you need… baby bed, jacuzzi, toiletries and the room size is big.
