We made a stop here, when driving from Murchison Nationalpark to Fort Portal. Very spacious rooms and nice service. Very fair price.

Nice garden, basic breakfast but got the job done. I got a very big room as the one they showed me in the beginning had a huge cockroach on the wall. Overall good value.

Room (double) was spacious and had good floor fan; grounds were nice. Staff were friendly, and set up a table outside for our dinner. They arranged car and driver for our friends who were returning to Entebbe ahead of us. Not a real restaurant but woman cooked to order for us, both dinner and breakfast. Breakfast (included) was tasty.
WiFi wasn't working. Bill was calculated wrong and had to be redone. Road to get there from town was quite rough, although not too far (200 meters?). Friend's room (single) was pretty small.

Nice large cottages, excellent beds
The staff was not very communicative, didn't always understand English very well. Airconditioning was listed as one of the room facilities, but there wasn't any trace of it, unless you count the fan. The road towards the compound if very rough.

Saltek Forest Cottages has so much potential, but needs better management. I got a cottage (not a room in the main house) and it was spacious and clean. Nice garden view.
Someone (either Booking.com or the hotel) messed up. I was met with the news that I would have to move out the last two days of my booking due to overbooking. They are currently not set up to prepare food on site. They have a separate hotel in town and bring food from there. Each time I ordered food, they acted like it was an imposition on them. They didn't even have bottled water on hand. Plan to eat elsewhere if you book at Saltek, as what they brought from the other hotel was not very good. I hope to visit again in the future when they have things better organized.
