Perfect location to discover Lviv by foot as this city is a nightmare to drive a car. Super friendly and attentive staff, great rooms and well-maintained facility in general. We liked especially the focus on the Austro-Hungarian past of the location in the decoration. Amazing food at the restaurant.

Wine selection in the restaurant could improve. But this is a general issue in Ukraine. Champagne and liquor selection was fine.

I am staying at the Citadel hotel again. The service is at a high level. Friendly and professional staff. Comfortable rooms, delicious cuisine. The hotel and location are especially beautiful at different times of the year. A quiet area that will allow you to relax and concentrate.

The ambiance here is rich and relaxing. The kitchen team produced very high quality meals. No problems operating in English. All staff spoke at least some English with the majority I spoke with being fluent with VERY little unnatural phrasing or pronunciation. Staffed professionalism and polished public service skills. Location and history of the property both added to the pleasant stay

Main restaurant not open for evening meal. This fully understandable with far lower tourist number due to the current military security risks in Ukraine. Not a complaint just a slight disappointment due to factors outside the venues control.

Excellent location on a hill overlooking the city. The hotel itself is located in a former fortress with a very interesting history. Cozy room with all the necessary amenities. Friendly staff. On the top floor of the hotel there is a restaurant with a balcony that also offers a wonderful 360-degree view. The hotel also has its own area for walks and a summer terrace where you can enjoy delicious dishes from the chef

Safe stay with well equipped shelter (unfortunetly, but its important now:( ), nice big and amazing territory with the big parking place. We were very kindly upgraded to a suite assisted by hotel manager who was super efficient & very friendly . Our room was large with a bathroom of marble. Welcome in the room included one of their very own chocolate truffles and macaroons, which you can also purchase in the restaurant . Breakfast was busy but were seated with coffees within 5 mins. Waiters in there were all working so hard & the service was seamless - the food choice was fantastic & all very fresh and delicious. Everyone on staff is friendly, helpful and efficient in their service. We will be returning and we will be sure to stay at the Citadel.

This is not the first time I stay at this hotel. Excellent location, friendly staff, delicious cuisine.

The room is good and clean, and it is interesting to stay in the castle. The personnel was nice and helped to solve some personal requests.

the bed is comfortable to sleep in, but when my partner turned on the other side it felt like I was on water matres, jumping on my side from other person moves. was a strange feeling.

The hotel is located in a mid 19th century fortress, in a park on a hill overlooking the city of Lviv. It's amazingly quiet here: no traffic or people passing by, the walls are 1.5m thick, and the ceilings are high and probably very thick as well. The air is fresh. Despite this off-the-busy-streets location, one can easily walk to the very centre of the old city (Rynok square) in just 10 minutes, which is a huge bonus. Some people who hate any form of physical exertion may complain that it's a relatively steep climb back to the hotel from the historic city centre, but we enjoyed it. It's also a good way to keep you fit after enjoying the old city food experience. Breakfasts at the Citadel are a work of art, and both my wife and I enjoy them immensely. Try their out-of-this-world oatmeal with a poached egg, quinoa, cheese, and truffle oil... Serving style, on multi-layered plates is also superb. The staff are all nice and well trained, WiFi works, there is a comfortable private car parking lot within 100m from the hotel.

Beautiful location in an old fortress on a hill. Being just outside (but within walking distance) of the old town the hotel has its own free and secure parking lot with plenty of space, even for large cars. Breakfast is beautifully presented; the outstanding eggs Benedict are the best I have ever eaten. My wife was delighted with the extent to which our very attentive waitress was able to customise her breakfast to meet her dietary needs. The friendly reception staff outdid themselves helping us with the starting problem with our car. Within a short time they organised assistance. Futhermore, an item we had left behind was forwarded to us within 24 hours.

The width of the bathroom sink could be larger.
