This is an excellent place for a clean heated room, hot shower, refrigerator, microwave, Wi-Fi. There are 16 units run by David - who was very attentive to any requests or concerns at any time of day or night. We were there on the 2nd day of their season opening... so understandably there were minor kinks with a sink faucet and internet, which David came over and fixed immediately. The satellite TV was supposed to be active in the next day or so - but that never bothered me, since I was not there to watch TV. There was internet service over Wi-Fi. It's close to the entrance to Denali National Park in a secluded location in Healy, just off Hwy 3 Parks Hwy. Don't look for any fancy lobby or conceirge. The owner is caring and lives close by.

nice classical wooden building in the trees. Bathroom and sink are clean, provided microwave, coffee machine and refrigerator. There is a grocery store nearby and also 3 restaurants within a mile.

No room service during our 3-nights stay !! There was a yellow spot in the cover sheet,each in the 2 queen size beds . My daughter refused to use their beddings, she only used our own thin blanket, thanks to the heater working fine. The temperature was 39 degrees (F). 11 miles from the Denali visitor center.

Self catering cabin with parking. Bed was comfortable. Probably better for an overnight stop. We did 4 nights, so needed to use the facilities more. Heating hot water in the microwave for a cuppa tea. Until the paper cups started to burn! Breakfast bar for eating, which worked for snacks. Not a very secure front (only) door. Washing in the mornings and evenings in the kitchen area didn't seem right. There was no sink in the bathroom? No wifi. Otherwise a good location for getting to the Denali Park, which was the purpose of the visit.

Wonderful place to stay to explore Denali ntl park and surrounding area. Comfortable beds, set away from crowds in the woods with friendly owner. A bit pricey like everything in area. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you

At $160 a night a bit pricey for this older , bare bones place but to their credit everything is expensive in june as all is tourist driven area.

The room was very spacious with a mini fridge and microwave. The location was excellent - very close to Denali National Park, a grocery store and restaurants. Check-in and check-out was easy. Really glad that we chose to stay here - I would recommend it!

The tub in the bathroom was a little damaged, but certainly didn’t impact us or our evaluation of this lodge.

Room and bathroom were super clean. The shower curtain and the bath mat looked like they were new. The room had a small fridge and a microwave, which was very helpful. The room also has a heater, that heats up the room really fast. Also, it's close to Denali and restaurants, I'd say about 10 minute drive. Parking is right in front of your door.

Location was great, room was comfortable, a little old but well appointed and everything worked. Close to Denali and to Healy but lovely “in the woods” atmosphere.

Soap was not good! We found the guy at front desk always had to be called, fine for when we checked in but didn’t feel comfortable disturbing him like that for more coffee etc. so maybe they should ensure enough coffee etc for the duration of the booked stay.

Nice cozy room with all the needed facilities and amenities. Conveniently located at just 15min drive from Denali National Park.

Noisy: all rooms are connected with an outdoors wooden walkway. Anyone passing (esp running and shouting kids) were a nuisance (I’m an early sleeper due to the 10 hour time difference with Europe). Wifi needed to be reset by the front desk staff before it worked properly.

Clean room with just what's necessary–good bed, fridge, coffee maker, microwave, internet, Direct TV. Very accommodating owner/manager. Good location near Denali NP and walking distance to stores in Healy. Quiet. Not an upscale hotel with amenities; a good, basic motel that has what you need.

Very little space/towel bars/hooks to hang towels and clothes. Walls kind of thin (noise from rooms next door.) But these are minor inconveniences in an otherwise nice, basic motel with good value for the area.l

The lodge is on the edge of Healy so it’s very quiet. We even saw a bear. The room was small but well laid out and comfortable. You truly live out of your suitcase. There was a fridge and a microwave and stores are reasonably close if you want to eat in. They clean up when you leave and we liked that. There are plenty of towels for the shower. In all, a great representative of a non-chain place to stay.
