I loved that our room looked out on the river. We were also able to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The rooms are on the older side but clean. We were just staying the night and the accommodations were perfect for us. Very close walk down the road into Talkeetna.

That it did not offer any type of breakfast. We knew that there was no continental breakfast but it would have been nice if the bar had been opened to serve breakfast. Talkeetna does not offer a lot in the line of breakfast so make sure you plan on that.

The location was wonderful, at the end of the town near the river. There's a bar at it too so you can socialize and walk to your room safely. All very walkable. The room was spacious and the shower was great. The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond helping me sort non-related issues such as making calls, and arranging the return of lost items to Anchorage for me. I would 100% stay here again.

The location was great it was easy to walk into town and also down to the river. The staff were friendly, our party left a bag behind and they brought it to the station in the hope that it belonged to us, we were so grateful for this , service above and beyond indeed. We only stayed one night so did not make use of the bar but it looked very nice .

Walls were a bit thin so do wear earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The family room is exactly what more hotels should have. It was a warm, cozy and spacious room. There was one full bed and two twin beds, that were conveniently placed such that everyone can sleep well with plenty of room to walk around without bumping into beds or furniture. The beds were comfortable with very clean bedding and linens. The hotel is walking distance away from the town center that has multiple places to eat and shop. It was a very convenient location with close access to river. We absolutely loved our stay at the inn and would love to come back again!!

This property is right on the river. We were fortunate enough to get a river view from our room. The room is basic but has a nice microwave and mini fridge. A bar on the property is nice if you’re like me and prefer not to drive after a nightcap. This inn is an easy walk to downtown restaurants, history museum and shopping. Comfy bed, hot shower. The location can’t be beat and the staff we friendly and accommodating.

This was perfect for our one night stay. Loved the proximity to the river and to town. Staff (James) were helpful with recommendations and the pick up and drop off at the railroad was very much appreciated. While the room was older and small it was good value and all that we needed when travelling.

We enjoyed our stay at Talkeetna in even though my husband and i had twin beds ;-D we flipped for it- with the other couple when I booked I was only able to get a queen room and a twin bed room- we lost but to be honest we had the better view! We made the best of the rain by going moose hunting!

Not to be picky or anything but individual soaps and shampoos would have been nice. Our room didn't have a plug in the bathroom for blowdryer :-/

Every person we met were exceptional. It was truly genuine and not forced. We received more than what we asked for from the great smiles, tons of laughs, and just a great vibe overall. I love the location of the room. It was quiet and got the job done. We will definitely be back.

the location is the best - just around the corner from the main street & close to the river. take bug spray for mosquitos - they had a bug zapper racket in the room which was fun and helped immensely. The pickup & delivery service for the train was very handy.

don't expect 4 star accommodations - this is small town Alaska and quirky rules. our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely stay here again.

Ideally located near the only main street for restaurants and other conveniences. The hotel is near the Talkeetna river with breathtaking views of the Denali mountain range in the distance. ideal for taking photos at various times of he day.

There could be better choice for breakfast (which you pay for) apart fron just boiled eggs. But it's not a major negative.
