We hope to stay here again if we come back to Talkeetna. Besides an incredible setting right by the river, fun lawn games, chairs scattered across the property for sitting and enjoying — the office staff were incredible, the room was spacious with plenty of beds for all, and the proximity to town can’t be beat! We had some rough stays prior to arriving here, and it felt like arriving ‘home’ for a few days when we checked in and found this quaint, clean, spacious lodging to enjoy for a few days. Are the rooms updated and top of the line? No, but they are completely comfortable and welcoming. This was by far our favorite three days of the trip. Thank you, Talkeetna Inn!

There is nothing I would change about the Inn. It’s perfect just the way it is!

The location ws excellent for me - close to the Main Street but in rural setting and one could simply sit on one of the benches / garden furniture surrounded by trees and seeing glimpses of the river through them. My room was basic but very clean and was fine for my 2 nights stay. Travelling alone and having a reliable shuttle to and from the train is a real help. All the staff from the booking to the end of my stay including the shuttle driver were excellent and one could purchase items for breakfast- coffee free.

It was very hot weather and there was no AC - but that was reflected in the price.

Location is the best in town, right on the river. On the river trail you can see Denali on a clear day. Walking distance to the whole town, for dining, shops, seeing historical buildings and museum. Staff was nice and helpful. Room came with earplugs and a big zapper tennis racquet. Nice touch since we go to bed early - though it was fun to hear people playing yard games on the expansive lawn late at night. A joyful atmosphere with firepit, porch swings, lawn chairs.

The room had a very slight mildew smell - perhaps the bathroom. But it’s an old place, so that’s to be expected. It was a very small plain room, but a beautiful setting. We spent our time out and about the town and yard anyway.

I loved that our room looked out on the river. We were also able to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The rooms are on the older side but clean. We were just staying the night and the accommodations were perfect for us. Very close walk down the road into Talkeetna.

That it did not offer any type of breakfast. We knew that there was no continental breakfast but it would have been nice if the bar had been opened to serve breakfast. Talkeetna does not offer a lot in the line of breakfast so make sure you plan on that.

The grounds were so beautiful and the Inn was right on the Susitna River. We loved the fact that we could walk to everything in town. We walked to Conscious Coffee for breakfast and then to the Roadhouse bakery for a world class cinnamon bun.

I would have liked some heavier bath towels, but wouldn’t let that deter me from visiting Talkeetna Inn. We really enjoyed our stay!!

The staff was great at reception. The room was a small one (as expected) but with the things we need (fridge for the summer hot days that was the case), nets on the windows to keep the mosquitos out and to keep the room cool for the night (did i told you that was very hot on that day?). Great location, very near the river bank and town center. Good wifi.

The location was wonderful, at the end of the town near the river. There's a bar at it too so you can socialize and walk to your room safely. All very walkable. The room was spacious and the shower was great. The staff were extremely helpful and went above and beyond helping me sort non-related issues such as making calls, and arranging the return of lost items to Anchorage for me. I would 100% stay here again.

The location was great it was easy to walk into town and also down to the river. The staff were friendly, our party left a bag behind and they brought it to the station in the hope that it belonged to us, we were so grateful for this , service above and beyond indeed. We only stayed one night so did not make use of the bar but it looked very nice .

Walls were a bit thin so do wear earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The family room is exactly what more hotels should have. It was a warm, cozy and spacious room. There was one full bed and two twin beds, that were conveniently placed such that everyone can sleep well with plenty of room to walk around without bumping into beds or furniture. The beds were comfortable with very clean bedding and linens. The hotel is walking distance away from the town center that has multiple places to eat and shop. It was a very convenient location with close access to river. We absolutely loved our stay at the inn and would love to come back again!!

This property is right on the river. We were fortunate enough to get a river view from our room. The room is basic but has a nice microwave and mini fridge. A bar on the property is nice if you’re like me and prefer not to drive after a nightcap. This inn is an easy walk to downtown restaurants, history museum and shopping. Comfy bed, hot shower. The location can’t be beat and the staff we friendly and accommodating.
