Trailside Inn

This is an older motel in the center of Alturas. My room was spotless and just perfect for my little dog and me. There is a nice big fridge, a microwave, and a coffeemaker. It was very quiet. In the morning there is a complimentary breakfast offered at the office. Fresh fruit, pastries, cereals and coffee. The staff was very nice and accommodating.

Maybe a radio. I don’t watch much TV.

Considering the limitations imposed by the state, the "breakfast" bag was good: yogurt, a protein bar, a cup of fruit, and a bottle of water. Many places just stopped doing anything for a morning meal or snack, so this was a pleasant surprise. Thanks!

The hotel is struggling finding housekeeping staff, and that, along with the limitations imposed under the pandemic, has reduced the level of room servicing to a lower than "every day" level. I understand this. Within these limitations, our stay was pleasant.

Nice touches on the bedspreads. Not sure how they keep them so pristine ; Bed mattress was clean and zipped. Great sleep for the first time in a while. Non of that memory foam mattress that is over hyped and difficult to move

Well, the room was pretty and u. Until I looked behind the nightstand for an item I dropped . Nasty!!

Clean rooms, linens and comfortable bed. Coffee maker in room as well as to go breakfasts and coffee available in the lobby. Kevin at front desk incredibly helpful when we realized I had booked the wrong night of stay and took good care of us. Room was nicely decorated and quiet. Convenient location for us when we travel and pet friendly. This was our second time at this property and will definitely stay again. Good value and nice nice folks here.

Large, tidy room away from main highway so not much noise. Lots of other motorcyclists there so some good camaraderie. Proficient, amiable host at the front desk.

Air conditioner was a bit on the noisy side, but eventually I shut it off and opened the window to let the cooler night air in, and all was right.

Hosts were very nice and were able to accommodate us even though there was some confusion with having our dog. Room was clean and had a microwave and fridge which always helps.

Room is very outdated, thin walls (people woke us up talking out on the walkway at 5:30am and the man next door was snoring so loud it was almost laughable!). Bed was okay and TV was not HD so the HD channels made it very hard to watch.

Bed was very comfortable and the location was great! I'm a dj driving in from Carson City and they let me check in early so I could nap before my event.

The only thing was the shower had no pressure, that's pretty normal in California.

I've stayed here a few times now, always clean and efficient. The staff are respectful and the rooms are always clean and comfy, one of the best hotels in the area. I left something in the room this last time and they where great about helping me retrieve it, even after a full day away.

This isn't really the hotel, but it would be nice if the large vehicles/trailers would utilize the street parking...

It would have been nice to have hard boiled eggs and toast, however, the bisquits and gravy was very good.

Very clean. Fresh paint. great young guy helped us finding a late meal.

Breakfast, sorely lacking. No bagel, English muffins, but had a toaster out. No juice, cranberry, orange, apple....? Pool covered up.
