Walker River Lodge

Loved how spotless our room was. The bedding was pristine, the towels were white and fluffy, and we had everything we needed for our 5-night stay. The refrigerator and microwave were also appreciated. You must buy the coffee mugs, they are very nice!

The A/C unit was very loud and switched on and off frequently, making it hard to sleep. The pillows were flat and a little hard.

I had a delightful stay at this charming motel. The room was simple yet comfortable, perfect for a cozy and affordable getaway. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the location was convenient for exploring the area. If you're looking for a budget-friendly option with a warm atmosphere, this motel is a wonderful choice! Great location on the edge of town. We utilized the bikes, fishing and river which was right in the back, and beautiful! Room was clean, staff was nice, hot tub was a bonus.

The room smelled a little musty when we got there, but quickly faded. The pool was out of towels at times. The shower water went hot/cold when the sink was turned on.

We had the two-bedroom place. The master bedroom was beautiful and the view also. The kitchen was a bit old and worn, but functional. The kids loved the pool and we made use of the BBQ facilities. It's a good stop to head to Yosemite.

Two of the three BBQ's we tested were out of gas, but we reported it the next morning.

Beautiful setting right by the river. Quaint old town, but had what we needed. Loved the deck with views, green grass, the tub of fragrant petunias on the deck, picnic benches and BBQ by the water. Very lovely! Yes, bring your own pillow, but the bed was very comfortable!

Wonderfully peaceful location at the very edge of a quaint and friendly town. The mountain/river facing rooms are well-worth the premium rate. They open up to a perfectly manicured lawn, home to birds, ducks, and rabbits! We sat on the porch and enjoyed a leisurely breakfast enjoying the meandering stream and majestic mountains after an early morning walk to the High Sierra Bakery. Riverside barbecue grills are available for use. The rooms and decks make an Ideal set-up for a multi-family trip. The property is not new but the rooms have been nicely updated. I loved the outdoors-themed room decor featuring images of bears, fish, and mountains. Mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in-room. After a long evening of fishing the Walker River (tough fishing for native trout!), we used the poolside hot tub to melt away our muscle soreness. Many enticing restaurant options within walking distance. Loved the property so much, I purchased a hotel logo mug (with an image of a large and lively trout on it) to give my spouse for Christmas, a wonderful memento of our relaxing July stay at the Walker River Lodge.

Very clean! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Room looked to have been recently updated...it was done very well!

Room felt a little small for two people. We stayed only one night but if we stayed longer, it would feel pretty cramped. Television service kept "freezing" which was disappointing especially because it did this continuously for the last hour of the "Wild Card" baseball playoff game. I would turn the tv off, turn the tv on, and sometimes it was still frozen, sometimes it was ok for about another 2 minutes then freeze again.

More info would have been helpful on how to work the heater and A/C. It could be easily added to instruction sheet with WiFi instruction. Also add to instruction sheet the location of ice machine. Otherwise this location adequate, clean with great location. I particularly liked that it was within walking distance of several restaurants.

The bed was comfortable, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. The location is just as you enter Bridgeport from the south so is easy to find. The front desk provided an overview of the few restaurants in town which was helpful.

Air conditioner was inoperative but wasn’t a big deal as the outside temp was in the 30’s. We wanted to use it to block out road noise.

The room was in a lovely location facing the mountains and the river. The room was really clean and a comfortable bed. My favourite stay so far.
