Jim, the guy who checked us in (possibly owner?), was really great. Super nice guy & really helpful. Loved the room. It was big, clean, & comfortable. Comfy bed & pillows. Had a couch in the room. Internet worked great, TV was more than adequate. Bathroom was really spacious. Was a great experience, all around.

My only super minor issue was the tiny ice machine that was kinda hidden in the laundry room. Laundry room light was not easy to find & the ice machine, while totally functional & adequate, was a tiny machine tucked in the corner of the room. Not easy to locate. Otherwise, the place was great.

The Shasta Pines Motel & Suites was an overnight stay for us on our road trip around California from the UK. Whilst we knew we had booked a standard motel, for ourselves and our two teenage sons, what considerably elevated the stay was Jim the manager. He was SO helpful and friendly and really went out of his way to give us tips about the local area. As we were enroute to Lassen Volcanic Park we had not planned to visit Burney Falls, but Jim encouraged us to fit it in. We're so glad that we took his advice. Jim also advised us on the best places to eat and they did not disappoint. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and despite being close to a road, it was very quiet and we slept like logs. Thank you Jim for being a great host.

Manager of motel is very helpful and friendly. Bed is comfortable and pillows are good too. Room rate is lower than the other motels in Burney.

Need more plastic and coffee cups. Wood floor needs more regular cleaning, spilled a drink and wiped the floor, it was really dirty. Shower curtain was hard to pull, the rings were tight on the curtain rail. Some guests parked their cars illegally, not in parking spaces, making it more difficult to get in/out of parking area. Other guests parked in spaces intended for other room than their's, so ended parking further away from my room.

Room was clean and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer. TV. Wi-Fi. It was a really comfortable bed. And everything was clean and well taken care of. The man at the front desk was very informative and helpful and friendly. We came to see Burney Falls. This was such a convenient location as the falls were less than 15 min away. I would definitely stay here again. :)

Jim, the guy at the front desk is super friendly, down to earth person. He welcomed us with a happy go lucky attitude and helped me answer all my questions with his knowledge about the area. He made sure our accommodation was as comfortable as possible. Thank you Jim for bieng an excellent host.

The rooms are a little dirty especially the cieling fans had a lot of dust and the garbage bins were very dirty at the bottom of the bins.

I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. It is an older hotel so I was not expecting a 5 star experience (that I wouldn't pay for anyhow) but it even exceeded what I was expecting. The beds were really comfortable, even the linens smelled clean.

Because it is old the outlets are in odd spots which just means I had to put the coffee pot on the desk, no big deal. The laminate floors could have used a mop but they were by no means disguising and to be fair Burney is in the dirt and pine trees. I was just glad there was no carpet.

Manager is friendly and very helpful. Room was comfortable and a good price.

The heater and refrigerator in the room were very noisy, made it hard to sleep, Motel still does not have an ice maker since it was broken months ago. The table and other surface areas, chair could be cleaned more.

Perfect Location for Burney Falls. The Beds were comfortable the room was big. It was clean. It had a nice grassey area to sit outside and let the kids run around. All and all for the price it was a good value. Gentleman at the front desk was friendly.

The bathroom needed an update. I could see daylight under the door to the outside. Chairs at table were worn out.

We loved the beautiful location of the hotel and the closeness to restaurants and bowling alley. We loved the grass/tables/chairs/grills area. Amazing to sit there in the evening relaxing. The guy working the office(manager) was absolutely amazing. He was so nice and sweet even went out of his way to find me a tourist booklet.

we went for a weekend to see the falls and needed a room close by. we have never been in the area before. Shasta Pines was a great choice. The rooms were clean, the front desk was very helpful, and we were comfortable throughout our stay. I would highly recommend staying here. We will certainly stay here the next time. they sell out quickly, so book your room early.
