Loved the location, everything was clean, and overall a cool location for sure. For a solo traveler, it was a perfect spot to stay at in LA.

The only thing I didn’t like was the guy who checked me into the hostel was not super friendly. Also when I asked about why they take copies of your card rather than a deposit, he was very rude about it. It was the first time I’d ever seen that and I asked very respectfully so it’s unfortunate that he was no friendly when I asked about it.

I liked the couches in the lounge, the separate dining areas , inside and outside , the shared full kitchen, the extra fridge space in the kitchen aside from the personal one in the room. I loved our balcony. The free breakfast , the all day tea. Just a general positive vibe and kind helpful staff, some of who went above and beyond. We stayed during Christmas and they even had presents for my kids under the tree. It was really so sweet and thoughtful. It can be noisy some nights but even though I was with kids.. we were all up late and could care less. I see a lot of people complain about the breakfast but they offered bagels, spreads, packaged pastries and instant oatmeal packs. I’m vegan and they even had little vegan oatmeal bites sometimes as well as apples and oranges.

My only issue was the room never really seemed clean after I’d put the Make Up Room sign on the door. The bed wouldn’t be fixed sometimes, sheets not changed or towels not replaced and I didn’t ask very often to clean up either. We stayed a long time too so I would have appreciated a cleaner space.

Good facility. Simple breakfast (outmeal and some sweets, muffins etc). You can free get coffee / tee anytime. You can cook there etc. Use common fridge or small fridge in your room. Showers in your room. Lockers in your room (ofc need to have your own keylock).

Could be better towels. Could be softer/thinner pillows (personal preference... I ended up not using pillow at all otherwise it's too high and breaking neck feeling). Could be free parking (it was 9$ per day underground parking). Or on street public parking - free during night till 8.00 AM.. since I thought will need more sleep so didn't risk and used underground parking.

I really liked this place, definitely recommend and will be coming back. Awesome location, walking distance for shops and eatery. Room was comfortable, simple, you get what you paid for. I feel for the price the hotel has alot of amenities to offer...Monday have free comedy night, Wednesday free karaoke night, Friday they offer free BBQ. Their lounge area was pleasant, had games to play, pool tables, workout equipment and in the basement they had a party/ movie room if you wanted somewhere more secluded and quiet. Breakfast was ok, had a vending machine if you wanted more options. Overall I will say again I was glad I booked this place, no complaints. It was terrific!

Alot of young adults, I'd advise to not let your younger kids under 12 wander unsupervised. Also alot of men present as a fair warning to ladies. They did have an free open bar for 2 hours...great offer but was uneasy because people were getting rowdy and I didn't see security. Also should mention you have to pay for parking. 10 dollars

Very easy to go anywhere in the city from the hotel location. There was a microwave inside the room which was nice. It's a cheap (for LA standards) nice place, you get what you pay for.

The Hostel was not very easy to find at night, there was no visible sign from the street. The room is as clean as you would expect a Hostel to be, not the best but also not that dirty. The bathroom was so noisy! You can hear the water flowing inside the pipes as if you were sleeping on top of them. Even whith the bathroom door closed, it was a very loud noise. Also paperthin walls, you hear everything from the other rooms. Few outlets in the room.

Well located. The room was clean. The staff was OK. You have everything you need in your room.

I didn't like the fact that the room I booked on Booking was for 2 persons but with 4 spaces (one bunked bed and a double bed) and I booked for 3 persons and I asked them if the rooms is for 3 persons and they said that 3 persons suites perfect. When I reached the location they charged me extra for the third persons without saying from the beginning that I will be charged for the third person. The breakfast is very very poor and the kitchen is a little bit dirty if you want to prepare your own food.

The events and the general atmosphere. It was easy to meet new people.

My room looked quite sad and the window was replaced with a plastic sheet.

Chose this mostly based on its excellent location but it also is a great place to make as your homebase when visiting the Hollywood area. I will return next time I visit my friend. The room was clean and quiet except for a noisy snorer. I wish hostels had a "quiet car" room like they do on the train. No snoring, no coming home late.

I think there needs to be someone in the reception/office area 24/7. It's a busy place.

Can't beat the value for a single bed in a great location. Good common area space for socializing and spending down time. Small lockers available in room to secure valuables, if you have a lock. Staff was always super nice! Close to lots of bars, restaurants, cafes, and easy access to bus lines to get around.

I think it'd be nice if they raised the top bunk on the beds by one more notch so you could sit up in the bottom bunk. Amateur comedy night was tragic lol

Everything! I’ve been coming between this bungalow & the other one on Hollywood for 5 years. Can’t beat the price or vibe. Convenience is everything & that’s what both locations have & always something to do everyday of the week.

Parking is really tight but obviously not there fault. They didn’t make the building sheesh!
