This is probably the best motel you can get in Los Angeles. It's clean and the rooms are modern and beautiful. The pricing is really good compared with other motels I've stayed in.

They have sort of a weird security deposit policy. They only accept a cash (!) deposit. It's also not clear how much they ask for. Their policy says 50 USD, but when I checked in they asked for 100 USD. As I didn't have any cash on me that night, I was able to pay the deposit the next day, then they asked for 60 USD, but were fine with 50 USD in the end. They did not want to give me a receipt or any form of documentation that I paid the deposit. When I checked out, they just handed me back the deposit without even checking the room. So what's the whole point of this deposit anyway? Also, their English was rather limited so it was hard discussion such things.

Very clean and in a convenient location. I was able to easily travel to museums using the nearby bus lines. The staff were also very friendly. Room had a huge and comfortable bed as well as an easy-to-use air conditioner.

All of the TV channels were in Spanish so need to be prepared with your own entertainment if you don’t speak Spanish. Would have been nice to have at least have a few channels in English like the news. Deposit on the room needed to be in cash which I luckily had just enough on me. might be a problem if you are not aware.

Good room value, fun RBG LED lights, friendly staff. The door close securely so I felt safe within the room and on the property. Provided everything that I needed for resting between a concert and getting an early morning flight.

Only has a fridge so you can't heat up instant oatmeal for breakfast. Not a lot of nice looking restaurants in the area. Location isn't recommended by locals as they say there are many homeless people. I (a slim not imposing looking 6ft caucasian looking male) walked back from Banc of California Stadium (~1 mile) at midnight down broadway and only came across a handful of tents and homeless individuals. However, there were almost the same amount of street food vendors with bright lights scattered across my route. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be based on what my rideshare drivers were telling me, but maybe this was a recent change. If you're a tourist, I'd say it's not worth hanging around the area. There's better food and more things to do a couple miles North.

Location was great for access to the University of Southern California. I was staying for the LA Times Book Festival book signing event, so location was important. It was only about seven minutes away. When you leave the motel you take a right on Broadway and go till you get to Jefferson Blvd. Take a left and within just a few blocks you enter the USC. The room was roomy and comfortable. It had a refrigerator. The shower was large and water pressure was sufficient. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The noise at night was very low and not bothersome. I like motels that you access from the outside because it is a lot quicker to get luggage into room. I travel quite a bit and always say that I stay where Jesus would stay. I ain't gonna spend a fortune for a room and this place is a great stay for the price.

Wow, the room was bigger than expected and modern and really nice! I’ve stayed at The Hoxton Hotel (upscale hotel in DRLA) but honestly, Solo Motel could give it a run for its money! the bed was super comfortable, the shower was fantastic, room was nice and quiet. The aesthetic was modern and futuristic.

I didn’t realise the area was less than ideal but as a female solo traveller, I felt safe. The door had an extra security latch. I stayed for one night only.

Check in process was easy, front desk staff was pleasant. My room seemed pretty clean, except for the sheets though.

With the price they’re charging, a microwave oven should be expected in each room now. As well as 2 complimentary water bottles.

It was great for the price and location to our venue.

The neighborhood wasn't the greatest, and the showers had no water pressure. It was a unique layout for the rooms but I liked it. Could have been a little cleaner but it was good enough. The towels were thin and small and that's my only real complaint.

Spacious room with a comfy bed. Number of parking spaces available. It was pretty quiet during the night. Everything clean and nice!

I only got wifi password by text message next day - I would reccomend putting the password somewhere in the room or hand it with a room key. I also missed microwave in the room - would highly reccomend to add those to the rooms.

very clean and modern

only 3 pillows for a king, only one room key, shower setup leads to big water puddles on bathroom floor. Very sketchy area, the road and sidewalks are littered. People parked on the side of the road, living just outside the motel.
