The property had amazing character and was in an amazing location within the hustle and bustle of the quiet town. Our room, located at the rear of the property, had external access, which allowed for independent access to/from the site during the early hours of the day.

The only downside was that the day we were staying, was the weekend. Our room//the property being close to the local bar was the only downside.

Mary is an incredible host and inn-keeper. My wife and I made a last minute getaway for a mini-honeymoon and Mary was kind enough to place us in a honeymoon suite with a ton of charm and character. Friday night was a little loud outside of the hotel, but we had no difficulty drowning out the sound with the well-functioning AC. Otherwise, there is a very cute deck for your morning coffee/fruit/pastry and you couldn't be better situated in downtown Mariposa.

Mary the innkeeper was a wonderful host. Check in was a breeze and she provided excellent local information, especially about the YARTS bus system. The room was very spacious, sparkling clean and the towels were so fluffy and soft! The outside sitting area was clean and peaceful with entire flocks of hummingbirds coming to feed. I loved everything about my stay.

The stairs can be daunting if you have heavy luggage, but that's just how a mountain village will be.

Super friendly host, quirky hotel in a beautiful location. Plenty of free parking. Extremely clean and comfortable, with lots of nostalgia. Sit on the balcony for your morning coffee and enjoy the hummingbirds feeding.

Lots of stairs a problem for those with mobility issues. Basic facilities, but it is an old building.

Staying at the Inn was like staying with family. Mary, the Innkeeper, is a superb hostess. If you want to experience a great B&B experience, this is the place. Morning continental breakfast on the deck watching a flight of hummingbirds feed is a delightful way to start each morning. Also, the Inn is located on the Main Street of Mariposa, within walking distance of excellent restaurants and bars.

Not a thing but I will warn people that the Inn is on the second floor and the front stairs are steep (1901 style). My wife and I are in our 70’s and this did not pose a problem. Besides, if you are in Mariposa (excellent base) to explore Yosemite and its many hiking trails, ascending the stairs is nothing.

fantastic inn right in the centre of mariposa. comfortable rooms that have everything you need. great location for visiting Yosemite. we had a fantastic stay, Mary looked after us so well and even gave us a breakfast goody bag when we were up early to climb half dome. would definitely stay again and would highly recommend.

Great location. Spacious room with sitting area. Enjoyed the outdoor deck, and original/eclectic, non-generic decor. Plenty of power outlets, and decent continental breakfast.

Lots of stairs, between two noisy bars but the bars shut their outdoor areas a decent hour.

The hostility of the hotel is spectacular. Sally would welcome you back and always felt welcomed. A lot of historical pictures around the hotel. It is very quiet after 9pm. Live music on Wednesday night, lovely music from the bar next to the hotel. They are very respectful that they will quiet down after 9pm.

Great location, right in the center of things so we could walk to restaurants and shops. We loved the old west vibe of the hotel and town.

We were a little confused on how to access the hotel from the parking lot. Could have better signage for the back stairs.

This little hotel is well managed and taken care for. Stylistic rooms, good breakfast, everything intact and clean, and sitting on the shaded terrace is really relaxing. You need support or advice - the manager helps.
