The location was great. The room was clean and we liked that it was clutter free. We also liked the armoire had many purposes and doubled as a coffee bar, pantry, and kitchenette. The view was great, we loved waking up to see the ocean. We liked the balcony furniture, just the right size. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the balcony very relaxing. The bed was comfortable and like the fact that there was a fan in the room.

The freezer was frozen and we couldn’t put anything in it at all. We really didn’t like the pool being on the first floor and the pool area wasn’t really inviting. Just to mention but wasn’t a really big deal…one of the lamps beside the bed was broken but still worked.

It was the best location and view. The unit was lovely and had lots of seating in the kitchen and livingroom. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with the necessities.

The kitchen needed some updating. The counters were tile that was engraved with a design and were a haven for germs and impossible to clean. Very Gross. The bathrooms also could use a little updating as the counters were very low and out of date and the toilets could be swapped out for something a little higher as they were the old fashion low low toilets.

The location was great!

Our air conditioner was not working properly so our bedroom stayed between 74° and 76°. In the main area of the apartment, it stayed 72°.

We loved the location, the ocean view, the sky bridge, the beach bar, and the restaurant!! The room was comfortable and clean when we got here.

We did not like the almost non existent water pressure in the shower, the fluctuation in water temperature, the drink machines were sold out and the ice machine was out of order. Someone needs to put a broom in the room, the sand gets all over the place and there is no cleaning mid-stay. The whole place needs an update for the price.

Great location, across street from beach but no obstructed views of the gulf. The pool deck's beach cross walk over the road was great. The Royal Palms Grill on site was a great bonus. Our rooms had all the amenities for a compact. Beach Chairs are set up at 7:00 so if you get up early you can get a front row. Surfside's private beach area does not allow tents or canopies but just a short 2-3 minute walk down the beach and you are at the public beach access where they are allowed. There is a nice boardwalk along the beach side and a nice paved bike trail on the the opposite side. Be careful when walking on the bike path...it is curvy and lots of young kids are riding. Whale's Tail Eatery is an easy 5-7 min walk and they serve breakfast starting at 7:00 Am. They also serve lunch and dinner. There is a nice big beach store at Majestic Sun Resort which is right next door to SurfSide Resort, they have all the beach needs at reasonable prices for vacationers...sunglasses $15, sun lotions $8-10, hats $10-15.

Hot tubs were not working. They were being repaired and they got one working on the last day we were there. Freezer part of the refrigerator smelled like fish/seafood and made the ice taste a little off in our drinks so we went down to the ice machine which was OUT OF ORDER. We had to buy ice from the Shell gas station.

Everything. Royal Palm was delicious. Staff extremely nice. Loved the 4x4 drinks they had at the bar. The beach is beautiful and luckily isn't as crowded during this part. of the year

The fact that the dryers didn't work in the laundry room. You could only wash clothes and not dry them.

Location, comfort, pool and basketball courts

Front desk staff always seemed to be away from the front desk. Checked out at 9:45am and no one was at the desk. Stood there for about 15min trying to return the basketball and no one ever showed up. Called the 800 number and no one answered that.

Our apartment was very clean, comfortable beds, modern updates, great views of the ocean and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook a few meals in.

Private Beach, heated pool and 2 hot tubs.

We loved having a delish restaurant onsite. It was so nice to not have to drive anywhere if we didn't want to.

More toilet paper lol! 2 thin rolls for 2 women for almost 5 days doesn't work. I had to buy our own halfway thru the stay.

Love the pool, hot timber, access to the beach ,beach chairs , beach umbrellas and the Royal Palm Grill restaurant
