Red Roof Inn & Suites Calhoun

I stayed here twice recently and was very pleased. My room was clean, quiet, and I felt safe which is very important to me. The location is excellent as it is convenient to the freeway, and there are so many places to eat within a short distance of the motel -- Applebee's, Long Horn, Cracker Barrel, IHOP, Ruby Tuesday's, just to name a few. You can also walk over to McDonalds as the motel sits behind it. The staff at the front desk are friendly, professional and went out of their way to accommodate my requests. This is a very reasonably priced motel, and if you are traveling with your fur babies, they stay for free!! I don't think you will find a better choice for the price.

I have no complaints.

clean, clean, clean. well lit. friendly staff. I booked based on the reviews and the budget price. it is a value conscious motel so no frills and none expected. Room was exceptionally clean as were the common areas. The room was also serviced perfectly, bed was comfy and smelled fresh, didn’t have that industrial smell found in most hotels. would certainly stay again.

I requested first floor and while the room was well prepared it did need a few maintenance items taken care of. AC makes a little noise, door lock plate is loose but all worked fine and did not hamper my comfort

Front desk manager, Sam, was very gracious and professional! After a very emotional 4+ hour drive that had us arriving an hour early, Sam was kind enough to waive the early check in fee and got us to our room within 10 minutes. The room had just been cleaned and the smell was a little strong for me with my COPD. Sam quickly went and got a neutralizer spray for the room which helped immediately!! Sam went above and beyond to make sure our stay went well, and I will be forever grateful for his kindness, pleasant attitude, and absolutely incredible professionalism! Room was spacious and very clean!

The bed was a little too firm for us, but of course we're used to our soft mattress at home. Bathroom was a little small for my partner who is 6'2". Sam did apologize and said renovation had been put on hold due to COVID. He did mention that the back rooms on the property had been renovated and to request those on our next visit. (Once again, Sam being awesome!)

What stood out at this Red roof inn is the customer service I personally asked the young man's name his name is Michael I've dealt with him this is the second encounter he is over the top when it comes to customer service definitely a breath of fresh air when it comes to hotels I spend about 20 days a month and different hotels and motels and this gentleman is definitely bar none at the very top of what he does what

This isn't Ritz Carleton nice, but giving it a high number for this class of hotel. The facilities look modern. The manager was nice and handled several parties quickly when we arrived. Room was neat and clean. All the lamps had built in chargers. Also had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Very good value! The included breakfast was "grab and go" but we decided on a sit down breakfast nearby, so I can't comment on that aspect.

Nothing stood out.

Clean, comfortable bed, efficient set up, nice selection of tv channels, convenient location, equipped comparable to more up scale brand hotels… cannot over emphasize the immaculate condition of this facility inside and out. Seems that house keeping is a central focus..

Breakfast bag to go… however, based on the comparable $ value of the room and overall facility, it is reasonable the accept and understand the underwhelming “free” breakfast offering..

It can be hard to see the sign if you are tired , it's tucked behind a McDonald's amd next to another hotel with a taller sign. Otherwise, it was one of the cleanest hotel lobbies and rooms I have had. Definitely a place to mark on my map for a repeat visit on my circuit.

No complaints other than signage.

Easy access off of I- 75, we were just traveling through, great place to just layover and rest after a long day of driving. Starbucks right next door for our morning send off. Staff was very kind and even called me to make sure we were safe and still coming. Arrived around 1:30am.

Older building but they have done a good job at remodeling the rooms.

The property was well-maintained, rooms clean and comfortable. AC and Heat worked well. Did not use the wi-fi and left before breakfast. Staff was competent, friendly, and helpful.

THe first room I was given had someone who broke the rules and smoked in the room. I had to move to abother room - bot a biggie, and was handled quicly and professionally.

Very clean ... neither credit card worked but the staff called the booking company to verify # and let us stay with no hassle.

The cards have been working before and after so the reader needs to be checked. The two couples ahead of me needed to be told to compare their dog pics on there own time and after they had checked in ... oh well people can be very rude. The staffer should have found a way to say"folks let me get you checked in we have someone waiting in line behind you"
