Best Western Edgewater Resort

I love that the Best Western Edgewater is a short walk from downtown. I am also somewhat of a railfan so I love that the property is right by the tracks, yet any slight rumble from trains or even kids running up and down the halls are easily mitigated. I stayed four nights and slept like a baby. Also there is a nice shoreline trail just north of the property, not to mention all the paved biking/walking paths around town. And the views of the lake and the mountains to the east can really sooth the soul!

Not much to dislike. I guess the Continental breakfast is just okay, nothing spectacular. Could use a little more variety per the hot food available.

The view from my room was spectacular. This hotel is located right on the beach and the scenery was gorgeous. I was on the 2nd floor and watched the sunset on my balcony. It is a quick walk to the historic downtown. The restaurant at the hotel was sooooo good! I would make the trip again just to eat at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service super quick.

The rooms and the hotel in general is a little outdated but the location makes up for it. The air conditioning unit was making noises in the night and kept some of my family members awake. If I was to stay there again I would have asked for a first floor room with direct access to the beach and I would have liked a bigger suite. The suite we had was a tight fit for my family.

Nice view and comfortable beds.

The resort didn't honor the rate of $873.97. We were charged $927.17. The staff thinks it was reflected in the Sandpoint Resort City Tax that recently went into effect. I have tried to contact the manager twice to ask why I was not informed about the tax before I checked out. This miscommunication will probably result in our not staying there next year for our detecting event.

The amenities were fantastic. I hope that the next hotel still features sauna and even improved spa and relaxation facilities. We felt so lucky having access to the pool hot tub and sauna with the gorgeous views of the selkirks and nice plants like an old school aquatic center. The room was great big comfy bed with gorgeous views and bright sunrise natural wake up call. My favorite part was the kind front desk person when we checked out today this morning around 10:30

Breakfast could be better. The juice is all artificial+preservation or sugar the sandwich old frozen reheated type of food. Would be nice to have fresher foods to start the day.

Beautiful location. Staff was exceptionally accommodating, especially since we did a lot of "coming and going". Special shout out to overnight front desk staff, who didn't mind feeding us muffins before the official breakfast hours started. "To go" offerings were great.

We had to leave on our last day, and missed out on dining at the restraunt the night before we left because of lack of staff. (Not their fault)

The view was spectacular. The location to town was nice; great stores close-by. Our highlight was our interaction with the lobby clerk, Paulette. She was spectacular in every way. We’ve not met a clerk that surpasses her. She was great in every way. I hope she’s still there upon our next stay.

Waaaaay too much duck and goose poop on the sidewalk … tons of it. I would think someone could periodically spray it off.

I absolutely love the location... Just step out onto 5he patio and you are steps away from City Beach and steps away from Trinity Resturant! A fabulous place for lunch or dinner! This was my second stay and I will be back!!

The bathroom was quite small.

just a few minutes from tons of restaurants, the location it was wonderful. The beds and pillows were surprisingly comfortable.

The sauna wasn’t working and the front desk staff said they didn’t know what to do so that was disappointing. And not their fault but someone above us was running around and moving furniture until 11 o’clock at night and it was really loud.

Sat on the balcony in the evening and had breakfast out there the following morning- lovely view and ambience.Very happy. Our waiter Matt was a fountain of information about Sandpoint and very out going- Kudo’s to Matt. Please pass this on to him and will request his section next time we are there.

Very nice property on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille. Nice room with balcony overlooking the lake. Attached restaurant has pleasant outdoor patio, also with great view. Easy walk into the town. Sandpoint is a charming town.

Not the hotel's problem, but Sandpoint has a critical labor shortage. It seems that property prices and rents have increased so much recently that restaurants are unable to staff properly. We were there on a Sunday and very few of the restaurants were open and many businesses were closed due to the shortage.
