Cobblestone Inn & Suites Fort Madison

We stayed in the family suite and it was so nice and comfortable. The room was very clean. Our kids loved it. The breakfast had a good variety of choices and was tasty. The shower water pressure and volume was one of the best I've experienced in a hotel. The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. There was a tiny concession area in the lobby where you could buy snacks, small entree meals, drinks, and other necessities like Tylenol or ibuprofen. We also enjoyed exploring a little bit of Fort Madison and thought it was a cool old town with interesting history. We loved our experience and would absolutely recommend this hotel to other families.

The only thing was I was surprised there wasn't a hair dryer provided in the room, but that's still okay.

The rooms were very clean, spatious and comfortable. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast which was fine and met our expectations. The staff was friendly and took care of us quickly at check-in and checkout.

There was only one thing that was unfortunate. The amount we were charged for the stay was more than Booking.com's final charge. I created a customer service case on the matter.

Waffles were not available, but I made do with other options. My oldest was upset and didn't eat. Not a biggy, there was plenty of other options.

Not having a pool. The hotel is in a nice spot just outside of the city and would be a nice additional thing to offer guests. It was nice to have a couple of close options to eat at and a dollar general for last minute things needed. The extra food items you guys off is nice and the pizza cookers were an extra bonus.

The room was clean and as expected. We needed a handicapped room so we could have a walk-in shower for my mother in law and they were very obliging. They provided a roll away bed as they didn't have a room with double beds available as we requested when booking our stay.

The bed was very firm and we prefer a little softer mattress.

I am picky about my lodging, with basic requirements to rate against. Communication, helpful staff, clean good lighting, counter and water pressure (loved it!) comfortable. Location. It was a drive to/ from Nauvoo especially with detours but still worth the comfort and savings. Decent breakfasts. Facility was great.

Not a dealbreaker: Wished for other oatmeal flavors. I dislike maple. I thought bed was great, hubby thought same bed was a tad soft. Not comfortable for him. Heard neighbors doors bang, upstairs heavy footsteps, and phone conversation. Not unusual, or hotel fault. A nightstand on other side of bed would be really nice.

Clean is my top priority, then bed comfort and both were great. The staff is always friendly when I go there. I love that they provide ready made snacks and items in the breakfast room cooler even though I have never had need for them, I love that they do it in case I ever did. I do also like that they have a name brand coffee and it is always full when I go down. The addition of syrups for variety is nice too.

My window was unlocked on the ground floor. If I had not thought to check it, I would consider that a safety issue especially as I was traveling alone this time. The only other negative is it is higher price than Quality Inn down the road that has a pool and comparable rooms. I don't mind paying for a quality stay but I would think they would at least be the same as they are equal experiences.

The Staff was so friendy,professionsl,helpful, and personal. They gave us all needed information and offered any future assistance. The Breakfasst was great and the eating/seating area was very well sized. I left my ball cap in the lobby and the staff secured it until I was able to reteive it. Wow, what a great stay at the Cobblestne Inn..

We put out all our dirty hotel linen/ towels and only received 3/4 of clean linen/towels to our room. It worked out ,as it was our last day and night there.

The location was great and the bed was comfortable. The free Breakfast was good as well. Water pressure in the shower was great and the tv was huge but the staff really made me feel welcome when we arrived and when we left

There really is nothing that I could find wrong at all so I have no more to say!

Breakfast good, the usual fare. A couple of chairs to sit in was nice. Room and bath clean.

Room was 66 degrees on arrival. Little chilly and took awhile to get comfortable. Room smelled musty and “smoky” as if had been smoked in. Don’t like those hard lumpy pillows.

The room was a great space. Bed was very,very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, many different choices. Great restaurant right next door. Shower had great pressure.

The only thing that was a minor problem was the internet kept going in and out.
