Hampton Inn Emporia, KS

The pillows and bed height. The close location of restaurants and easy access to the highway.. Desk staff were super helpful and responsive to questions asked. We had a room for mobility impaired. Aisles were wide enough to maneuver the wheelchair - a definite plus! Would definitely recommend this with one exception. No towels or wash cloths were low enough for one in a wheelchair to reach and it would have been nice if the sink counter was about 2 inches lower.

The two employees that I encountered at the front desk, Sam in the evening and another person (whose name I did not get) in the morning, were both exceptionally personable, professional, and helpful. I accidentally engaged the "help" button in the hotel on my way to my room, When I called the front desk to confess, Sam not only reassured me that it would be taken care of, she also took the time to ask me how I liked my room-a conscious act of caring in an age of "something near indifference." When I checked out, the desk agent similarly was very professional and engaging. I hope they are recognized for their mature and personable demeanor!

I can't think of any recommendations for improvement.

Excellent breakfast with lots of options and very well maintained. Very clean facilities and well equipped room. Very nice front desk staff who were very helpful. We didn't use the little necessities shop at the front desk, but it looked well stocked and I like that it was always available 24/7. Coffee/hot chocolate station was also well stocked and open 24/7.

It was clean and met my expectations for compliance with Covid restrictions. When we ate the attendant was replenishing the cold beverage and was present during the duration of our breakfast. We had the mini waffles and were pleasantly surprised that they tasted great with peanut butter and bananas- it was very satisfying and filling!!!

Considering the country is still dealing with Covid and hotels are dealing with understaff conditions, our room was perfect. We love it that Hampton Inn continually updates its environment!

Location was excellent for my needs. Breakfast was wonderful, and the person working the breakfast area outgoing, friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean, had extra towels in the room (love that!). Mattress comfortable and room not noisy

Front desk could have been more helpful

It’s clean. Well maintained. Great breakfast. Anna, the beautiful soul who handles the breakfast kitchen, is reason enough to stay there. We interacted with her the most. Checking in was smooth. Pool was clean. My family will stay here when we visit Emporia again.

No hot tub (but that’s just me being selfish)

The breakfast was so good! The lady that worked there did her job with a smile and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy and you could tell she loved her job. Everyone that worked there had a smile on their face. The room was super clean and comfortable. We will be staying here again.

Breakfast was great. It had a lot of options, including fresh fruit. The staff member in charge of the breakfast room obviously took pride in her work. She was a gracious host and a bright start to our day on the road.

very clean & aesthetically pleasing

I don’t feel the explanation for not lowering our rate due to a hotel problem with check in was explained satisfactorily by the morning desk clerk when the evening clerk promised a reduction.

Everything was great just like I hoped it would be. Room was great, staff excellent and price was very reasonable for 2 nights.

Only thing I didn't like was I couldn't close the drapes but it was fixable with clips I had.
