Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Goodland I-70, an IHG Hotel0

The room was very nice, and the bathroom was huge. The hotel itself was very nice and clean. However, I'm not sure I would stay there again personally. See the answer why below...

An emergency came up, and I had to leave, so I only stayed one night. I was told that I would get some kind of reimbursement from Booking.com. The worker/manager (I think) said he would take care of it if Booking.com reached out. When they reached out the manager was "Never There" and gave us the runaround. I still haven't been refunded. I'd be fine if they would have just said no we can't refund you for the night you aren't staying, but they gave us the runaround. That is unacceptable, therefore I'll probably never start there again.

The breakfast was great - lots of hot items including cheese inlets, biscuits & gravy, cinnamon rolls etc. Hotel is new and very clean with comfortable beds.

My only negative is that the smoke detector in the room was located above the bed and omitted a bright flash every 10 seconds or so throughout the night. That was kind of irritating.

The room was spacious, new and modern. Nice sun-blocking shades, comfortable bed, bedding and pillows. Nice-sized mini fridge. The breakfast was excellent: two choices of hot eggs, crispy bacon/turkey sausage, biscuits and gravy and plenty of other selections, including Holiday Inn's signature cinnamon rolls (the best!), and Chobani yogurt. A covenant location right off I-70. We have stayed at the former Holiday Inn (now next door), so this was our first time in the new build and it was very nice.

NOTE: many rooms in this hotel do not have tubs. This seems to be a trend in newer hotels, so I always check because we prefer a tub. Since the photos all showed tubs, I didn't request one, but our room had a shower and there were no tubs available. I would not have booked the room had I known there was no tub. Also, the shower door would not stay closed. It was heavy and naturally slid open. We had to wedge a wash cloth in between the two doors to keep it closed. Otherwise, this was a very nice place, and with the guarantee of a tub, we'd stay again.

Extremely clean and comfortable. Brand new. The breakfast was very good as well.

It was a very pleasant stay but I do have a suggestion...inform your guests that they have to request maid service. I had expected our room to be cleaned but when we returned later that day nothing had been cleaned and I had to go to the front desk and get clean towels. That was off putting and the desk clerk just stared at me when I said something. No comment, no apology, just silence.

Plenty of parking for Uhauls and trucks. New hotel and everything was clean. Right off I-70. The kids enjoyed the pool. Great hotel to stay at on our road trip. They even have a pancake maker for fresh pancakes at breakfast.

Clean comfortable room. Nice bed. Great water pressure in shower.

The breakfast didn't meet expectations because the oven was broken, so instead of a good hot breakfast they laid out jimmy dean sandwiches. Instead I ate yogurt and bananas which was healthy.

Holiday Inn Express is always one of my favorite hotels. Always clean and very comfortable. Staff is always friendly and facilities are nice and updated.

This hotel is new and a perfect stop for travelers. Great location and the room was very nice. We stayed here on our way to Texas from South Dakota and we couldn't be happier with our choice.
