I didn't know there was breakfast! The rates were low, and so the room was an excellent deal. No smoky smells. It was clean. One bed was great, the second mattress was saggy. That didn't matter as I was alone. The room was simple- but don't expect fancy. The carpet was worn. There were 2 tv channels, but I wasn't there to watch TV. All in all, I would go to the Royal Motel again. The staff were friendly and helpful!!

Super friendly people running the place. So comfy. I absolutely loved our stay here and plan to stay again. I was really impressed with how kind the staff is. The other reviews are not wrong - it's super clean here. It's a little retro, and feels like staying at a family members home.

Nothing. It was perfect.

Friendly staff. We stayed in room 17. Room is what you would expect for the northwoods. An old building but we loved the room. Felt cozy, and the breeze from the windows was so nice. Woke up to birds singing. Everything was clean. Towels super soft. There was fridge, microwave, coffee maker with coffee.

The room was SO clean. Linens smelled (and looked!) fresh and the toilet and shower were spotless. Simple, but very comfortable amenities. Mini fridge, microwave and TV worked great. Very friendly motel owners. I was incredibly satisfied with the value of the room for the price I paid. I would highly recommend Royal Motel.

The water pressure in the shower was low. But I was still able to shower without an issue.

A warm welcome from proprietor when we arrived. Refrigerator and microwave included in room, so could prepare a late meal and have breakfast in the morning. Convenient, clean, and comfortable accommodations. Classic roadside motel experience was fun. Will come again.

Location on the main road was convenient but still quiet. The retro decor was awesome! Bed was comfortable and room was VERY clean. Owner was very friendly and helpful.

Water pressure in shower could have been better.

Owners are super nice! Great value, clean, comfortable and quiet! Newer beading and curtains, the small motel is a bit dated but I loved that! It shows how well it's taken care of!! We will definitely stay here again

The only thing is the room we stayed in the shower walls could be replaced. Repair was done but it seems to be peeling back.

If you prefer value over bells and whistles, this is your place. Well maintained older property, right on the highway but not noisy at all. Owner lives on site and was very welcoming & hospitable.

TV remote was glitchy - channel up/down didn't work, but entering the channel number did. Electrical is old - only one grounded outlet in room.

Older family owned motel. It had everything we needed for a great stay overnight. Very friendly staff and we parked right outside the door. Very handy for senior citizens! We would definately stay here again!

Check in was fabulous, welcoming, answers to all questions answered. Room was very clean and well provided with amenities. Quiet and comfy.

This is an old motel, for sure. But it is comfortable too.
