Oscoda Lakeside Hotel

A little rough around the edges, but clean and perfect for our three-night stay over the Fourth of July! It's a great value if you're not fussy. Staff was friendly and the beach was beautiful. We'll be back!

Pool area needs some repair and updating, but you can tell progress is being made on making this hotel a destination resort.

The staff. All of them were kind and friendly as well as being helpful. Further, I slept well here. That is not something I take for granted. So yes, the beds are comfortable. On a note of fun, the other guests were the most interesting collection of people.

The place is in pretty significant need of an update (though I recognize that is probably off the table for a while while the hospitality industry recovers from Covid). Also, we chose this hotel because we brought our dog with us, so I get not decorating to the Nth degree. On that count, some of the other guests should be ashamed of themselves. Civilized people pick up after their pets (i.e., in the grass around the hotel). But that is on the guests, not the hotel.

There was hair clogging the jacuzzi bath, along with trash under the bed an I had to use my own blanket because there were stains on the blankets they had. And their complementary breakfast was worse than a motel 6

The manager is a very friendly and courteous young man. He and his wife do a good job. The only suggestion I have is, there were things that needed updated and fixed. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay. God Bless this couple and there new baby. I hope they do well.

The jets on the hot tub were not working and at the bottom of the tub were two covers that were not in place. Was afraid someone would have an accident and break there ankle if the fell into the drains.

Definitely an older property but kept up in great shape! The location was beautiful right on the water with multiple fire pits and a small swing set for kids! Picnic tables and a pavilion as well!

The coffee at breakfast was terrible! (Minor I know)

Location was located close to our destination.

First room we checked into had a tv that wouldn’t work and the chain lock on the door wouldn’t latch. The front desk clerk was extremely understanding and accommodating and switched us to another room.

We love being by the beach.

We found very few little bugs in the room. I would liked to have had a stopper in the sink so I could have washed out a few things. It would have been a plus to have hangers in the room so we could have hung up some of our clothes.

Room was remodeled and very tastefully done. It was winter time when I stayed there so I didn't go to the beach but the view was beautiful. I would stay here again.

It took a long time for the room to heat up. But once it did it stayed warm.

We were in town for a reunion and spent very little time in our room. The facilities were fine--clean and served our purpose.

Soundproofing could have been better. We could hear anyone in the hallway. The air conditioner was also quite loud and interrupted our sleep a couple of times.
