Strongly recommend beds comfy, good pillows and good water pressure with mini fridge and micro in room. Beautiful like nothing i have ever seen in hotel..all one level like motel but more! Like a museum and hotel all on one. Very unique. Swimming pool, playground. They even have pool table in lobby! Lots of train memorabilia very cool place. Architecture is beautiful in the rooms as well as the entry lobby. Really enjoyed are stay. Rooms were quiet when we stayed one night, Tuesday in September. Will stay again if ever in the area again!

Only thing missing is in room kerig. But had coffee and tea available in lobby anytime u wanted.

This train memorabilia based road side hotel was wonderful! A great value, considering the many places we've stayed that were far more expensive and inferior in comfort to this one. Our king room had a wonderful leather recliner, comfy king bed with lots of pillow choices, a desk, dresser with flat screen tv, and a luggage rack. There were lots of plug in and charging outlets in numerous places, and really good lighting. The vanity is in the room, with a microwave/fridge fitted underneath, plus a shelf for storage/towels. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, body gel and makeup wipes were provided. In a genius move, this place cuts up older towels and places them at doors and in the rooms for shoes, spills, mud, wiping vehicles, etc. There are rocking chairs out front and it is quiet....except for the occasional train (no surprise there). Breakfast is continental, but with waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal and yogurt also. There is always coffee, tea and cocoa available, and common areas are clean and comfortable, with a billiards table and a large, lovely indoor pool area. Nearby are a Dollar General, Caseys store, bank and Mexican restaurant. This family run hotel is in front of a vineyard, has a children's play area, and outdoor seating area too.

A very clean, cute little hotel, in a tiny town. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful. This was our third stay and we will definitely be back. They offer complimentary bikes if you want to take a ride around. The train theme is adorable, so if you have any railfans in your life, they will love this place. Bonus- they have dog friendly rooms!

I was placed in one of the theme suites, Sportsman, it was awesome, I know if this had been in Chicago or KC it would have cost 3 times more, it was that exceptional, loved my stay!

Absolutely noting I didn't like, everything was so cool, loved the train them, loved it was all on one floor, pool was beautiful, surrounding area great, would love to find one of these everywhere in the state of Missouri that I travel for work!

This is a gem of a place! The decor and ambiance was all things train and was located just steps away from the town's train depot. The rooms have hobo symbols on your door and the rooms have live train feed to watch. There was also tons of train relics that served as decorations and made it feel like a small museum. The owners were the sweetest couple and so hospitable. It had a quaint bed and breakfast feel, yet had the amenities of a hotel with true charm. It was fantastic! Who knew trains were so cool?!

What a lovely surprise! The place is wonderful with a heated pool and interesting railways museum. The staff was very friendly and breakfast simple but very nice (eggs, cream cheese, bread, jam, tea and coffee, orange juice etc). The bed was comfortable and room clean...

A Railfans dream, Like staying in a Railroad Museum, Wish we could have stayed another night. The free breakfast with hot fresh waffles was awesome. We would definitely stay there again. Wish it was closer to the wedding venue, the reason for the trip.

Very clean. Pool table. Golf cart to see train lookout. Pretty little vineyard in back. Indoor pool. Bed was super comfortable. Nice size room(we stayed in the Victorian Suite shown above) with . Everyone was accommodating, pleasant and nice!

Breakfast was very simple. There was waffle batter to make waffles. Cereal, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, etc. I wish there were more hot items available like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage.

Very nice clean and staff went above and beyond! Playground and bikes for kids was a nice surprise for my kid! Owner is extremely pleasant and really cares about his property!

Not much around.

The pool was great, indoors and big, not over crowded. Train theme is so unique, leaves an impression, kids loved it. Train lookout and open space was great for kids. Mexican restaurant next door, pretty good too.

Breakfast selection very basic, but did the job.
